Based upon the numbers, it sure looks like Maverick sales are killing the Ranger. Perhaps the poor MPG of the Ranger makes the logical choice a base F150 or a Maverick; depending on your needs.

They're not making many Rangers right now. Either way, the Maverick didn't kill the Ranger. Ford and the Tacoma killed the Ranger.

Ridiculous theory, considering Ranger production was shut down to retool for the 24 Ranger.

In defense of the OP, Ranger has enough open orders to last two weeks. The demand for that vehicle, even when not being built for three months, is next to nil.

I think the reason is the switch over from 2023 to the new 2024. Next year will be the year to see if the Mav out sells the Ranger.

Likely.
If I were in the market for a larger truck, I would skip the Ranger and get an F-150.

I know multiple people including myself that either were unable to order a Ranger or canceled their orders. I'd be very happy to have a Ranger Raptor in my driveway. Not at $10,000 over MSRP.
I inquired at two of the reputable dealers that participate in this site as well as my local dealer. No availability, or $10K ADM.

Yes, true, the 6G Ranger is getting more attention than previous. Many tacoma fans are not liking the new looks of the 4g Taco as well (me being one of them). So I'm very curious to see the sales between the 4g Tacoma and 6G Ranger next year.

I love Ford Rangers 2011 and down. When they had they rereleased in America I was disappointed. It was no longer a little truck. So I planned to hold onto mine. Now I have the Maverick and couldn't be happier. Sure it feels a bit bigger, but the adjustment was super easy.

The Ford Maverick filled a void for many people who were lost when they increase the size of the Ford Ranger. Sure it gained people, but it sure as heck lost people too. Not sure if the Maverick is cannibalizing Ranger sales, but it sure is giving people something tantalizing to consider.

I've waited for years for this generation Ranger to arrive, but when I build one similar to my '24 Lariat, it's $10,200 more.

No thanks, HRG

I like the new Ranger. I was considering it however to get close to the same built as my Maverick Tremor your talking another 10 K easily. Yes it's a more expensive truck. My beef is that you can't apply the options you need with out there expensive packages. Those days have long passed.
