May I ask what the process was for the dealer identifying the 300A fuse? The reason I ask is that I've had an endless 12V battery drain and after 3 service visits and close to 20+ days in the shop....I can't get my dealer to look into the 300A fuse TSB because they "don't see a code for it yet". So all they've done is replace my original 12V battery - which didn't make a difference and the problem was back in 48 hours.

I've been living with a battery maintainer + a solar panel maintainer until I can figure out what to do next. I'm taking it this Saturday to a different Ford dealership in hopes they might be more helpful. Thanks for any advice you can provide - cheers!
No problem!

I had the truck towed to the dealer. It was a Saturday, of course. Monday morning, they called and said the 12v battery had a dead cell, they replaced the battery, and it all tested fine. I picked it up and drove home, no problems. Went back out in the afternoon and the message that it was shutting off functions to preserve 12v was back within 1/4 mile. Drove straight to the dealership. They test drove it and got it to pop the messages. The tech found the TSB, and the electronics team at Ford walked him through how to test it. The fuse was indeed open. The rest is just ordering and replacing. So far, so good…..

Mine sounds suspiciously like yours. With that fuse open, it can’t recharge the 12v from the HV. The DCDC basically replaces the alternator. Push them a bit and bring up the TSB. There is a fairly specific code that it throws and a few other symptoms listed in the TSB. I pray they find it!

Note: I found it in another thread. It’s an SSM. Here it is:
May 4 2023 New SSM 51598 2020-2023 Escape/Corsair, 2022-2023 Maverick – FHEV/PHEV - 12V Battery Voltage Low Or Discharged With DTC U3003:62 Stored In The DC/DC
Some 2020-2023 Escape/Corsair equipped with 2.5L engine full hybrid electric vehicle (FHEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) powertrain and 2022-2023 Maverick vehicles equipped with 2.5L engine FHEV powertrain may exhibit a condition where the 12V battery voltage is low or discharged with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U3003:62 stored in the direct current/direct current converter control module (DC/DC). The vehicle may also exhibit DTC U3003:16 and/or U3000:04 stored in the DC/DC module. This may be due to an open in the 300 amp mega fuse located in the high current battery junction box (BJB). To correct this condition, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 414-05>Pinpoint Test H1 to verify the 300amp mega fuse condition, replace the fuse upon confirmation it is open. Test and recharge the 12v battery.

This is too open to interpretation to be valuable, alongside the eco vs hybrid difference. A improved question may be something like “How long has your Maverick been in the shop due to a manufacturing / design issue?” 0 hours, <4 hours, <1 day, <1 week, etc depending on granularity.

In my opinion, needing to take my car into a shop for a recall definitely counts as a reliability issue that can prevent me from driving it as needed. However, based on other comments some seem to disagree.

Given how many people are impacted by the recalls and wiring harness issue, the hybrid in particular should have a high number of people with some reliability issue. However, the actual impact of those issues is worth noting for painting a true picture.

I am very happy so far. However to be fair I have only logged over 2k on the vehicle. LOL It's a new vehicle what do you expect.😊 What impressed me the most was the way it handled on deep sand that's precisely why I purchased the Tremor option. The locking differential is the ticket. My Blazer did well on the beach however the Maverick was much smoother. Must be those good old computers doing there thing. I'll get back to you in another 15,000 miles.

Ahhh I just got scheduled today for a Black tremor exactly like yours and I got it precisely for the same reason-deep sand. Living in Baja we got lots of the stuff! Cheers

May I ask if you know what the Ford techs did during their brainstorm on the deep sleep? I have a parasitic draw on my 12V and after multiple visits to my (unhelpful) dealer I've yet to get them to look into much at all. I've asked for the 300A TSB recall to be looked at + the DC/DC converter issue = but because they "don't see a code for it" they told me their hands are tied and there's nothing they can do.
I asked them what they did, but I'm not real clear what it was. I think they did a software update that was out there, and I'm not sure if they thought it would work, but the weak battery issue seems to be completely gone. I am using my ford pass app and before I had to delete it so my car would start and not go dead. I wish I could be more clear.

18 months, 21k and no real troubles here. I've had a few warranty issues worked out (easy for me working at a dealership) but I've been all over the west coast without any problems.

My only real issue is that the wipers skip/jerk at the end of their cycle on intermittent. They still work fine though, just very annoying. I started a thread about it and many others seem to have the same issue.

Otherwise, no actual issues, truck drives great after 10k miles. I’ve had the radio freeze up a couple times, but that was just a simple reboot/reset. No squeaks or rattles even, which is something I couldn’t say about my previous vehicles.

Anecdotally, I’ve owned 3 Subarus and 1 Ford before my Maverick. All 3 Subarus required major engine repairs, with 2 of them leaving me stranded. My Ford had minor issues that were taken care of under warranty, and otherwise was mechanically sound. Goes to show, YMMV.

Just checking the club's experience so far. Have you had to sideline your Maverick? Or are you Happily driving it every day? Please give a brief description of the issue that sidelined you.

Remember you can change your vote later if things change.
zero problems in 10 months and 8k miles - base xl.

Right now, eight of the nine owners reporting a problem are hybrid owners.
That is pushing 90 percent; seems to be quite a difference. 🤔 🤔 🤔
Are those specific to the hybrid power train ? Don’t think you can count the muffler as a hybrid specific issue.

I have an Atlas Blue Tremor that I am just waiting to ship. I am so looking forward to it. The pics look great.
Nice color will look nice in Altas Blue.. I know you're chomping at the bit to receive your tremor. You should be happy when it is finally is delivered. I was going to get the Alto Blue. My other vehicle was Blue so Black was my choice.

Had the dreaded constant "Deep Sleep" messages for the first six months or so, having to constantly jump start the truck. First battery change by Ford did nothing to help; suspect they were still on their batch of defective batteries. After it was changed the second time a couple of months later it solved the issue completely. Has been 6+ months with zero problems.

Your survey asks if any owner had an issue with their Maverick that caused the owner to not have the vehicle available when needed. Really does not ask for the cause????? Per your question, cause is not part of the survey.;):)

Six weeks total (and counting) without mine now:

1 week back in December at Dealer #1 (unresolved no-crank, no start)
1 week back in May at Dealer #2 (recall - damaged, unresolved no-crank, no start)
1 month and counting at Dealer #2 (waiting for repairs)

17 months and 31,000 miles. Aside from my ongoing paint chipping off issue and the cheap interior plastics and rattles the mechanical side has been fine (recalls excluded).

Well I do ask to briefly describe the issue in the comments. You are right though in the comments the hybrid gets most of the negative comments so far.
