I found mine by expanding the search mileage on the Ford site and there it was at a small town dealer that had just gotten it in.

I must not be a fancy type person, but I dont get the whole hype about the whole "first edition" thing. I mean it's supposed to be an inexpensive compact pickup right? I just cant see spending 36k or more on a compact pickup with a 1 year only paint job.

Yeah that kind of why I ordered the Maverick it was cheep

Got my Ecoboost XLT FX-4 with virtually all options I wanted on the lot at a small rural dealership. Got it for MSRP as well. But this was up in NB Canada.

Got tired of the B.S. I was getting from the local dealership since reserving one in September 2021. So jumped on the interweb and just happen to come across a Ford dealer 35 miles away getting THREE Mavericks for their inventory. It has a bit more than what we wanted but not the hard tonneau. Called them up right as they opened, made an appointment, drove there, put a refundable deposit on it, and delivery date of 18 Feb 22. No additional markup. From what I understand, all three were spoken for by the days end. People are going crazy over the Maverick. First due to price and second being a mid size pickup.

Yeah I wish my dealership had them in stock

It takes a little bit of work but they are out there
I got one this week at MSRP (though they did force me to buy wheel locks)
You just need to be watching the Ford inventory search and be constantly reaching out to dealers
They called me on the one I bought when I’d originally talked to them about one that was already sold
The salespeople want to make sales, talk to to everyone, be nice, be serious, be ready, be realistic and of course ask questions
I was having a conversation with a dealer in Arlington, TX for a lariat in my exact ordered build… on the phone they said no mark up but when he sent over the buyers order they added a $2700 protection package, saved me a 3 hour drive
There are a ton of people that have found stock or cancelled orders which will only lead to MORE cancelled orders so it’ll get easier as the months go on

Stay strong! My dad has decided to copy me so I’m again searching daily to try to get lucky and hit on his exact build

My suggestion to anyone is to order first and start searching for an acceptable build
It helps you with your local dealer, they could potentially call you if something comes in before your order…. It also adds to their order bank possibly giving them additional allocations for the next year.
It helps you because you’ve got piece of mind that your exact order is coming if you don’t ever find one in stock. Less pressure is always a good thing

There is a Red First Edition 2.0 AWD Lariat in Windsor CT for $2k over MSRP.

Id pay 2k over msrp for that frankly.

There web site lists the MSRP @ 46K with a 8K discount to 38K (-BS-) and they will not show sticker. I wouldn’t trust them. No way to configure a 48K FE.
