If you can find a Lariat Lux Hybrid w/360 in white for near msrp plus shipping OR a XL bare bones hybrid in white and I am able to buy it ( or Ill pick up ) Ill Venmo you $1000.00 No problem In fact, I would Venmo you $2000.00. Im in TN so California is out - This side of the US - Texas Florida New York or in between all acceptable hahahaha

Pressure them to do "what " exactly ? Not make a s much money ? As far as I can tell Farley is just blowing hot air in so far as saying " Im upset over outrageous dealer mark ups " A simple web search will verify MANY dealers charging 5, 7 , 10, 12 Thousand OVER MSRP. If the dealerships were really worried about the - We will take away allocations ...... wink wink ...... then you wouldn't be able to find all the trucks for sale that far over. Only way this gets solved is Ford sell more than 4K a month ( Feb numbers ). AND btw - I was at a dealership yesterday and one sales guy was laughing because as he said "some of the fake orders he put in hit the lot " all selling for 5K over. Smoke and mirrors, all smoke and mirrors.

Seems to be 5k-15k here in central IL. I just called a dealer in Clinton about a hybrid Lariat. I knew it was gonna be bad when they used words like “rare”. They have it listed on eBay to “let the market dictate the price”. Absurd, a brand new vehicle.

The car dealerships are masters in deception and playing shell games with customers. It's part of their slimy "business model."

Some say ADMs are the result of supply and demand, as if it's OK and to be expected. I say it's unethical.

See, there we go with small thinking.

We - the consumer - are not a bunch of small guys without a voice. We know dealers are greedy; so are we. But it’s our money we have to save - so if it means I have to make a phone call or write a chain of Ford Corporate wonks to request they hold those greedy dealerships accountable - by Ford’s own rules - then I am happy to do so.

If you are unsure of your ability or willingness to make such an effort, that’s fine. That’s your business. Frankly, the only help I want is a simple email address and name of someone in Ford Corporate I may contact to report predatory price gougers. That’s it.

And if you think it’s unethical, help me speak for you, or at least inspire you to also contact Ford Corporate. I think it’s shady as shit, and I will NOT do business with dealerships that indulge in such sketchy practices. Nobody should.

I paid MSRP about a month ago. I had one on order at a different dealer. Also note the fact that the dealer I bought mine from is in the shadow of Ford Corporate (Dearborn MI) so I am sure they feel as if they're watched more carefully than most. Dealer Ordered unit, AWD 2.0 Ecoboost. Many in the area are upcharing 5k-10k. Highest I saw was around 47k for a Lariat Eco.

Village Ford I’m thinking? I have a Hybrid on order there, good dealer.

Good luck stopping people from doing this. I've heard of people paying $2,000 to scalpers just to be one of the first with the latest and greatest iphones. The dealers know that if they don't charge an ADM some greedy customer is just going to scalp their maverick to Carmax/Carvana/Vroom or sell it privately with a huge price markup. This will go away eventually, if you didn't have the foresight to place an order for arguably the HOTTEST vehicle on the market right now, tuff luck, wait until ordering opens again or the market returns to some sense of normalcy. If you think you're going to make Ford "punish" these "greedy" dealers you're off the mark, Ford is not going to ruffle the feathers of their customers, aka the dealerships, whatever they say in a correspondence to consumers about cutting allocation for these "greedy" dealers is most likely just fluff to appease the people trying to buy their product.

Now, dealers marking up special orders when they had agreed on MSRP at time of order? Yes, scum but dealers marking up dealer stock units or abandoned special orders? Have at it, it's fair game in this market and I don't blame them.

Anyway, you can blame the dealers alllll you want but the fact is people are paying these ADMs, they know it's dumb, we just had a guy conveniently leaving off about 2500 in markup on a used Maverick that he paid on top of the 2500 he admitted to. 5k over for a used Maverick and he didn't seem to care at all. Blame the people for having money burning a hole in their pocket.

I spent an hour a day for about 2 weeks in January to find my Maverick. Stay persistent and you will find your gem. Would I do it again? Absolutely

I missed the ordering window but have been diligently checking the inventory pages for the slim chance of one available. Today I found one about 30 miles away. I go down to the dealer to find out the are charging 10k over MSRP for a Lariat Hybrid w/Lux. For those lucky few who have gotten one without ordering, did you see this kind of markup?

You have to remember there are 3 professions unethical in my experience, attorneys, real estate agents and car salesperson.
