Today-after 592 days of waiting- I thought was the day to pick up my Maverick Truck!
Everything looked right- color was as ordered, additionals as ordered, trailer hitch on truck. It almost all checked out.....almost. Upon inspection of the sticker, I noticed that there was no accounting for the 4K tow package. Upon further inspection, the sticker also states that the truck is FWD, and NOT the AWD that the 4K tow package requires.

I consistently told the dealer that the tow package/AWD was the key to this order. Welp, I guess I'm waiting longer, for I did not take the FWD off the lot.

The sad thing is they can sacrifice one pissed off customer and get at least $5K more on the lot than my order invoice stated. So, it's probably a good sacrifice to make in their eyes. This is the world we live in.

I feel your pain, it’s very disappointing for us customers to have to deal with these sneaky dealerships. Here in Northern California, I’ve noticed the small dealerships north of Sacramento still have a sense of honor.

Same here at non-chain dealerships in small towns around NW Arkansas.

I'm not familiar with the rollover process as my 2022 was built and delivered.

Does the dealer not provide an updated build/order sheet with all the exact specs when the rollover process happens?
There's no way I would just take their word for it that everything was ordered properly.

This has to be very disappointing for you. So sorry.

Was the VIN the same as the one on your Window Sticker provided by the Ford Tracker site?

Did you get a window sticker?
I saw and reviewed the window sticker, which was in the glove box. That is what gave it away to me, and I matched up the VIN they said was ordered to the sticker. The dealership agreed that it was not the truck I ordered when I showed them the original order.

Nobody is paying over sticker for a FWD EB so I can't see where they did this deliberately.

Sucks though. Sorry that happened, hopefully they will prioritize a MY24 order for you.

It would have been too late then anyway...the WS is essentially the build order to the factory.

If it was on the original DORA preview order, then the dealer screwed him by taking it off somewhere in the process. IF they did not do it purposefully (really, not likely), then no one caught it on the 9/22 conversion order which needed careful review. I had to walk my dealer through the changes in the 2022 to 2023 conversion or they would have honestly missed Copilot 360 Assist on mine.

HI , I was seeing where you were from, but now I see WI, if you were closer to Florida, you could check out Mullinax they show 52 mavericks on the lots ,6 dealers I think, ours in Vero beach has 9 now, All seem above sticker, but they keep coming down in price.

That's the thing- I never received an email from the Ford Tracker with the VIN. Last email I received from Ford Motor Company was on 10/3/22. On day ~500, I asked the dealership my status and they replied that they got a VIN assigned to my order which is adding to my suspicions.

The dealer I was forced to use put a $41,000 sticker on a MSRP of $29,850. Sorry about your tow, your going to beat my 656 days…the bitterness ends about 3 days after, or whenever you write a post about it 😡

Call Ford with your sales code and order code and ask for your VIN. It should match the VIN on the truck the Stealership claims is yours.

You have to be very proactive when you order a vehicle, or many dealers will take advantage of you.

I just put some pics on the sale site if you need a Maverick with AWD and 4k tow. I am going to sell it somewhere and if you're interested just let me know.

Sorry about your order.

I swear our culture can’t find their way out of a paper bag anymore.
Not sure how much is laziness and how much is stupidity.

The bad thing is that the person(s) responsible for this cannot be held to account, too many people involved in processes now, and even then, they would just deny it.
