They are no longer building 2023s so your Maverick order should have been rolled over to a 2024. Have you spoken with your dealership about it? If they don't know drop them like a rock and order from elsewhere or since it looks like you did an Ecoboost you should start seeing them on lots and hopefully at MSRP.I ordered my Maverick September of 2022, yea, 14 months ago! When did you order the one that’s expected in Jan?
Late August. I don't know what means anymore. All I have to go on is what the salesman tells me, what I hear on here and the news. Lots of information and little of it relevant, everything is all over the place. Dealer says he'll give me MSRP for the Lariat I'm driving now. When did you order the one that’s expected in Jan?
That’s absolutely inexcusable!I ordered my Maverick September of 2022, yea, 14 months ago! Still no word on when it will arrive.
When internal cuts get to the point of kids eating less meals prices will go up. It's not going to be easy for quite awhile. Prices can and will be adjusted up or down. Whether an owned maverick sells for more or less than purchased price is irrelevant to what it's worth today or tomorrow. Keep it and get 40% more than original out the door price and buy a new one for 60% more could possibly be a smart move depending on what happens after that. I support those competing with Amazon etc. but it is getting hard to purchase elsewhere although I try to ask people I know where I might find something. All businesses, whether large or small, will not price themselves out of their market. They'll pass some cost increases along if supply and demand is in their favor or if they can show some added value for the increase but will otherwise find offsets internally. I did that in my small business; it was hard enough competing with Amazon; I wasn't going to add to their competitive advantage by raising prices.
Aaarrrggghhh then we will have to debate who the bro bros are.Well when you act like one I'm gonna call you one.
Put pencil to it, it's possible leaving it with dealer may cost him more.Wow This Thread has really jumped around. The Bubble in my opinion is gone. I have let people drive my first MAV 2022. at the price and bang per buck they ordered them and love em. Me Being Greedy. Sold my 22 online. Order two more 23 sold one kept one. Put the second one up online . Break even money offered Still best bang per buck. I have a 2024 on order It has a build date of Nov 18. I am not taking it. But I don't want the dealer to take it either. It will be deliver in dallas I dont want a dime if anyone wants it i will post when its there. It a XL Hybrid blue. I love my white 23.
The Bubble is gone and so are the days of Flipping please don't hate
But a 49" piece of MDF won't fit in tailgate opening!Nope, went from a base XLT FWD with 10K miles to a loaded AWD Ridgeline with 20K miles for $6K. Will probably have to pony up some money when/if my XLT hybrid shows up.
I should say that I really liked my Maverick. Always looked forward to driving it. Even though it’s nicer, I don’t get the same feeling with the Ridgeline.
FYI: A 4x8 sheet of plywood fits between the wheel wells.
Mavericks are made in Mexico jackass. No UAW membership there. Ford made record profits for the last few years raising prices and suddenly it’s the fault of the workers who just got a raise?OK, Hag.
In Texas it's easier to survive with less electricity at 20°F over 90°F than it is at 20°F less than 32°F. Also this summer the grid introduced messaging to ask for reduced usage if possible and my coop had account holders receive text messaging to reduce usage if possible. Also grid capacity was increased (7+%) but was pretty much used up by new customers moving to Texas. My coop has also installed several solar farms as well as improved and built more transmission lines. One power generator is currently building new multi fuel power station to be in production in 2025. It will have 10 V18 19 megawatt (each) generators each about 60ft long 9ft wide and 20ft high and will be primarily for grid peak backup. During the grid problem in Feb 2021 demand was over twice the normal double consumption amount.I was watching with some interest how the grid fared with the record heat this past summer. Honestly expecting outages, brown outs that never occurred. Texas with recent history of grid issues fared well to the best of my knowledge. California is upgrading and burying it's it's grid in problem areas. Chicken Littles here in Ohio were predicting issues that failed to appear. Seems like it's not as dire as many say.
Thing about the grid and other businesses for that matter is that revenue finances expansion. Loans and bonds will finance expansion as needed. Power generation is a business and there are potential profits to be made. Grid upgrades certainly won't happen overnight but neither will the proliferation of EVs.
Me, I might be interested in a Power Boost hybrid that could power essential in my home during outages at some point but for now it's ICE. I'm certainly not going to try to talk anyone out of a EV if it fits their needs.
I see where they're starting to make use of battery storage as well.In Texas it's easier to survive with less electricity at 20°F over 90°F than it is at 20°F less than 32°F.
