That's why the Maverick is made in Mexico. No UAW there. Expect more auto jobs to slowly move to anyplace the UAW does not exist. It's one way to keep costs down.

Car manufacturers are moving to South Carolina because the UAW is all but nonexistent here. We've got VW, Volvo, Mercedes, and produce more BMW's than Germany. The VW plant under construction near Columbia will be building the new Scout. It should look much like the original made by International Harvester and it's all electric. SC is also the nation's leading producer of tires. We have a Chinese company in Chester, SC hiring our workers to produce tires for VW and Walmart.

My closest dealer is showing 8 now...All the time from September 2022 until I got mine in May, they almost never had one showing on their website.

I can rest a little easier knowing that if mine were wrecked, I would probably have some options to replace it. Maybe I'll finally let my daughter with a learners permit drive it....maybe not...

Purvis Ford in Fredericksburg, VA has 9 hybrids. All listed at 5K over sticker. XL, XLT and Lariats. Some are stock orders (blue sticker). Will they negotiate? IDK. This is where I ordered from and they were great.

I'm actually thinking of selling my 2022 Maverick Hybrid (Lariat Lux + CP 360 + Sunroof, Cyber Orange) w/20K miles on it. My kid is going off to do OTR trucking and will soon not need an everyday car for work. I love the Mav but also have a 21 Bronco Sport Badlands, a 2015 F150 and a 94 Camaro. It's kind of hard to drive four cars (one person) and there is always something needing to be done (inspections, registrations, putting on winter snows (F150 and Bronco Sport), oil changes, ...)

Why the Maverick? Even though it is my favorite, the resale on it is still pretty darn good (given the lack of supply and that it is a Hybrid).

I got quotes for my 2022 Lariat AWD with 22k miles (MSRP: $34,300) in preparation for my 2023 Hybrid which should arrive in the next two weeks.

Vroom - $26,250
Carvana - $29,500
KBB - $29,900 A KBB dealer contacted me saying they would pay up to $1500 over KBB price
CarMax - Said they haven't seen enough similar vehicles to offer a price, I would need to bring it in person?? Nearest Carmax is a 2+ hours away, so I'm wondering if their price would be worth the drive.

Update: Drove to CarMax today and got a quote of $31,000

My 2023 Hybrid just arrived at my local dealer, planning to pick it up Monday or Tuesday since my salesman is out Friday and Saturday, so I'll know then what they're willing to give me on trade.

I see carmax has them still pretty high. Seeing a lot of dealers that are getting quite a few in at a time right now and it seems like production is starting to finally fill most of the orders and will start seeing stock soon.

I am wondering if within the next few months with the 24 price increase you will start to see them on lots in stock and taking a little longer to move and at MSRP and within 6 months we might see some incentives at dealer level.

Only time will tell. I am trying to not have to replace the catalytic converter on my car this month.... that will be the deciding factor for me.... I have to replace I will just go ahead and get something at the end of this month or early next..... if I don't I will probably wait till Feb/March

This is a pretty clearly hijacked thread. Can we get back to the OP's ask? Usually a bunch of people jump in with their locality and if carvana / CarMax / vroom offer above MSRP.

Anyone run their VIN through or willing to and give us feedback?

I tried myself but they don't like to give prices on an unbuilt 24'

AutoTrader as 2023 XLTs listed for less than 2024 XLTs within 200-300 miles from me.

But good luck finding the listed dealer not doing a bait and switch.

In my experience down here, car guru was an “automated offer”. when I arrived to the dealer that sent it, they had to evaluate the vehicle and the offer changed to about 500 bucks less than my carmax offer. The initial car guru offer was almost 4K higher than carmax, So… there’s that lol

Have you received a build date yet? If not, then yours won't likely be built before Christmas. Build dates for a November delivery should already exist and those VIN's could even be currently under manufacture. I guess in Canada you have to relay your dealer to tell you those things. It still could be later unless it's already in production.
