Well my 2023 Maverick truck bed cover is far from water resistant. If it rains anything in the bed gets soaked. I actually filed a complaint with

Ford Motor Company (CRM:033002425) on February 19, 2024
In-regards to the water intrusion.

I ordered a tonneau from an aftermarket provider and I'm hoping it actually ships and arrives before I die...and if it leaks I will figure out how to minimize/eliminate the problem.

Mine has minor leaks going thru a brushless car wash. It was $300. I can live with that.

My cover leaks a little but I don't care... It's a truck bed and no cover will be water tight... That's why when I bought a cover I didn't go for some crazy expensive cover. I paid under 250 for my cover and it has been great!

I solved that issue by not installing a bed cover and not having anything in the bed when it rains. It's worked well so far.

Ford says they aren't waterproof.

Don’t have a bed cover but I can tell you my SofTopper cover I have hasn’t leaked one drop into the bed (I’ve had it since last spring but I didn’t leave it on all the time. I put it on this past October though and it’s been on the truck since then).

Only complaint I have for it, really, is the back flap, though it zippers on the side, has Velcro you have to attach to the black trim piece on the tailgate and that peels when it’s hot so you have replace it often when it’s warm out. Not a huge issue just annoying some times. I’ve spoken with them about it and they suggest using gorilla glue to attach the Velcro. I’m thinking about taking the trim panel off and fabricating a more permanent frame around the Velcro pieces then reinstalling it on the truck. Snaps would be a good option too.
