After watching the video from Tim and reading posts about late order postponements, I got a bit nervous yesterday. I'm a later October hybrid order and have a decent chance at a MY23 adjustment. I spent a few hours looking at Toyotas, Nissans, even that ugly Chevy. There really is no new truck that appeals to me. The Mav does only because it's so freaking sensible.

Just wanted to vent this among other Maverick fans and lean on y'all for support.

I got in 11/15 so don't think I'll see it. I'm not changing a thing just to get a stripped down version. Plus maybe work out all the my22 bugs.

Yeah, I'm of a similar mind. Only thing I'd do is drop the SIBL if I got a few hundred dollar consideration. That's something I am comfortable taking to the local line x guy.

Fully loaded Ecoboost Lariat ordered October 18th on my end, no other truck comes close to the cost/value/appeal for me. So I wait.....and hope.....

For over a year, I shopped for the perfect vehicle—and I never found it. That is, until the Maverick was announced. I placed my order in June, and picked it up just before Christmas. It truly is everything that I wanted, even if it took a year and a half to get it!

Agreed. Probably better choices if I didn't want a truck but being able to haul stuff is the most appealing part.

If it wasn't for the truck aspect of the Maverick I had three alternatives:

Ecoboost engine alternative: Mazda3 Hatch

Hybrid engine alternative: Honda Civic

$30k+ model: Golf GTI

These are what I was considering outside of the MAV depending on my priorities that changed daily 😁

The Civic just seems like insane value at many different price points and trim levels if you don't NEED a truck.

From what I'm understanding is that right now, the only way to drop the SIBL is to drop the Lux pkg altogether. Don't think you can keep the Lux pkg and substitute a DIBL at this point.

We're a June order, who finally got scheduled for build 2 weeks ago (March 28th, so we're realistically looking at 12-months, or more, from order to delivery). If we had to wait another 2yrs we'd still do it, because quite frankly there isn't an alternative.

If you aren’t looking for a hybrid and care more about towing at the over 30k price point of a maverick you might as well go to a Santa Cruz or ridge line or ranger. Under 30, value wins out. Maverick is truly a budget vehicle

I will tell you as someone who found a dealer ordered one for MSRP, I am very happy I did and the wait is worth it!

It's not a hybrid but it was my exact order (minus the color and had the 4k tow package). I bought a 2018 RAV4 last Feburary. I needed a new vehicle at the time and didn't really think I could afford any of the truck options out there. I liked the Rav4 enough but it wasn't a truck. When I heard about the maverick I was kind of upset that I hadn't just waited it out. Fast forward to January I decide against alot of people's advice to trade in my Rav4 for this dealer ordered maverick and I LOVE it. SO glad I did. Not bashing the Rav at all but I wanted a truck and so glad I made the switch.''

Alternatives are few and far between, and they're all much pricier. I am sure the competitors will catch up but in the meantime the maverick is great!

Ok, I did think of one truck I'd get if available. I'd pony up $35k for this guy. www.canoo.com
