Let's see what's out there in your area as a 'Maverick Alternative' if you have to have a crew cab truck before the Mav is delivered, but want to stay on your Maverick budget. I'm using Autotrader, but of course any place you can buy a used truck works fine. I'm going to match mine up with a few criteria I think would make the truck 'comparable':
1. It's a truck
2. Crew Cab
3. At or under my Granger invoice price of $19075 (after Farm Bureau discount)
4. Lowest odometer mileage that fits the criteria above ("Newest")
5. Pick the first listing that meets the criteria
You could also find the newest model year or work it however you like. It's just for fun. There is no truck out there that will have comparable MPG or specs, so I'm just throwing those out the window. It's a nice reminder of how unique the Mav is in the market right now.
First listing I came to that met the criteria above? A 2010 F-150 XLT with 88,432 on the odometer for $18,900.
Not a bad looking truck for the year, but man that combined 16 mpg hurts!
