Damn I have has 2 of them no issues like that! The risk may be greater than what I thought.
Be careful. I don't recommend these to anyone
I had to send the 1st. battery in when they did the exchange. I was able to keep everything else.
I think Schumacher thought that their problems stemmed from their charging system. They went from a plug-in socket charger to a USB charger.

Where do you store your NOCO jump starter ?
I have been keeping it under the rear seat. I live near Austin and truck almost always is in garage with 35°F baseline in winter. Will have less than 20 days per year below 20°F but during the 2021 freeze that tested the grid had 15 straight below 12°F. If below 20 is forecast and if I have time I will move lead acid, AGM, 2 sealed lead batteries into garage. I only have one Noco gb5 maintainer that I rotate to batteries but need to get more. This year's crises will be 18 AGM 6v 400+ amp batteries I am getting from neighbor who is upgrading their solar. They are six years old and will need maintainer until I can set them up. The price , I think is right. The dam things are 121 lbs each.

I got the Schumacher 4 in 1 and keep it in the back of my RAV. It will jump start and air your tires. I got it after having early battery problems with my RAV4 Hybrid. I have had it for almost 4 years with no problems. Our winters are not bad, usually 8-10 days with lows in the low teens. It has worked every time I needed it. Jump started my RAV once and my John Deer lawn tractor several times. I use it more often to bring my tire pressures back to 35 pounds. The only thing I don't like about is you have to plug an extension cord on to 2 AC prongs that fold out. I got it on Amazon for around $85, but I think it was worth it. I will be adding another one when my Mav gets here, if it will fit under the seat or in the bed cubby.

5 weeks at an airport lot? OMG!
Leave the Mav at home on a trickle charger in the garage and take an Uber.

shockingly sane advice that took many replies for someone to mention, although he didn't say airport really. just said parked outdoors.

I have no excuse, as I always lyft to the airport. it's $15-25. parking alone pays for this, nevermind the maverick battery.

but unplug the negative terminal at home, for sure.

I will be parking my Mav on Oct/27 in Montana until Dec/19, weather will be a mixed bag could be average of 0 with lows of -20 !! is there a solar dash charger i can use to keep up my battery? will the constant trickle affect the main drive battery ??
My experience with batteries working in a boat yard was that a fully charged battery could go thru the winter (Maine) with the negative disconnected. If it tested fine in spring it was good. If not it was time to replace or soon would be. Summer, however, a battery would likely need to be charge in less than 2 months.
I live on an island and many islanders install a knife or battery switch on their mainland cars to aid with this issue. Especially with a modern vehicle.

Ya. The Camaro was a best case. No fancy engine electronics. It did have a radio that may have used some power when off but nothing else. Solar still did not work. But maybe it will get better with time, new models will come out that work better.
Are all
I have tried solar dash chargers on other cars a few years ago and they have never worked out.
So now I run a extension cord to and use a "BatteryMINDer" or a "Battery Tender" any car I will not be driving for a few months.
I am assuming they were all 12 Volts chargers, right?

Yes 12v chargers for 12v cars. The chargers were sold for the purpose of keeping a cars battery charged. They had an LED that showed they were working when sun was on the solar panel.

In places where it snows like Montana it is common that you may have a car that is not driven in the snow, a summer only car. Not sure that is what is going on here but for what ever reason a car being parked for a few months every year happens a lot.
