I understand the water based paint argument but then why do my neighbors who have 3+ year old Nissans and VW and drive the same roads / same commute not experience the same level/number and type of chips. My boss drives a 2 year old Atlas and goes skiing/winter driving more than I do and his paint looks fantastic. My co worker drives a Subaru 3+ old and he does logging road camping and mountain biking etc and his paint has one rock chip we found and it looks nothing like the flaking on the mavericks. Yes the water based paint is likely an issue but the Ford paint in particular (much like the aforementioned Tesla paint) has to simply be of a worse quality or process. Again I just can’t imagine what this is going to look like in 10 years etc. Definitely going to look into repair than PPF.
