I constantly read on here that most think the maverick isn’t worth over $35k and it’s best suited as a lower level trim. I ordered a lariat as I listen to satellite radio 95% of the time and didn’t want to constantly have to use the SiriusXM app. I know the Lariat has the same materials for the most part as the XL, with basically just more tech added. Which I’ll agree the interior is cheap, it’s not fancy but it’s fine.

Anyway, I wanted to hear from those with Lariats. Are you happy with it? Looking back, would you have went with a cheaper trim level?

Happy? VERY!! I would order it again for the price difference although I did not get the Lux package. (y) Dual-temp control, seats, and exterior color matching, headlights, and wheels with Michelin vs. Continental and driver seat adjustment and ambient lighting were some of the reasons.

Edit: Forgot the push button start and acoustic windshield
Edit: Another forget: Keypad entry. I no longer carry a key; some say it may increase chance of theft, but I am not worried about it where I live.

Love my hybrid lariat with the luxury package. No regrets at all, and glad I didn't settle for a lower trim level with fewer features.

It's not a luxury car, but I definitely wouldn't call it cheap feeling at all. And you get a ton of creature comforts and modern tech features with the luxury package

I have owned a Lariat Lux for almost 1 month. I owned an XL for a month. Here is my take:

1 - I was under the impression the XL and Lariat seats were the same structurally and padding wise - just skinned differently. I am not convinced of that now. I prefer the seats in the XL. The Lariat is just more uncomfortable, and I'm not sure why. I am not a fan of the ActiveX (it won't breathe), but that's not the reason.

2 - The headlights perform better in the Lariat. I'm not sure why, perhaps this one is better aimed.

3 - The base stereo is mediocre and the B&O is also mediocre but louder. It is a bit bass heavy for my tastes, and the truck isn't built well enough for that.. LOTs of rattles. I have bass turned way down to mitigate rattles. Also the Surround setting is quite useless. Would you like a ton of reverb or nah? There's an argument to be made that surround sound is unnatural in any vehicle, but this one is just strange.

4 - The Lariat does have Michelins, but this is a bit like the B&O badge on the speakers. Michelin makes some absolutely fantastic tires (Like Bang&Olufsen makes some absolutely fantastic audio equipment) we've had the pleasure of owning on several cars. The Maverick's Michelins are cheap OE tires and are not great at anything. The Lariat rides worse than the XL and I can't tell a single iota of difference in tire performance or tire noise. The Lariat is quieter overall thanks to its acoustic windscreen, but that is a different thing.

5 - Dual zone climate is a gimmick in anything less than a full blown luxury car. The Maverick and our Acura both have dual zone, and neither works well enough to really have bothered. The driver setting is basically in control. If you want to set the driver side at 60 and the passenger side at 80, you will get a temperature difference. But neither vehicle has the ability to control fan speed or air flow independently side to side. Again, it will pump out different temps if you're aggressive with the settings. But it lacks the fine control of more expensive vehicles and as such I don't find this feature particularly useful.

Would I buy it again? No, but that goes for any Maverick. Clarification - The XL in my signature is not destined for my household.

I ordered a basic XL but got tired of waiting and took a Lariat that someone else ordered and could not take. Sooo glad of it now. Love the power sliding rear window, love the heated steering wheel in the winter, love the great sound system. For me all of the extras which I did not need, I now greatly appreciate!

Absolutely Love my Lariat version, to me, worth every penny as far as I'm concerned. No I would not be interested in going back to a more economical trim level. Love the interior, the Lux Pkg, especially the ACC, Radio, sound deadening windshield, heated steering wheel, 18" wheels, etc. Everyone has their own preferences and opinions. Order what YOU want/like, don't worry about others preferences - including mine.

Agreed 100%. I gave you my honest opinion that was not flattering to the truck, but take that with a grain of salt - most people here absolutely love the thing.

Actually appreciate the little convivence things as touch unlock and lock, enjoy the bedrails, which have used a few times. Today taking a bureau from my mom's old house to a donation thrift store as a donation and several floor cast iron lamps. Never had an XL as @MLowe05 but agree the driver left sided seat seems to skinny and definitely lacking some support. Had to adjust my leg not to use the foot rest. The stereo seems fine but have used it constantly. Like the Lux heating seats, steering wheel and side mirrors. Liked how the spray on bed liner was easy to slide the bureau in and not as slick at the plastic for things to move all around. Wanted the lane centering and advanced cruise control. Will be taking my first trip where they will come in handy. Did play with the cruise control and uncertain if the mpg is worst, but seemed so. Hence have not used it much. 833 miles and received mine around the dame time as @MLowe05

Not a Lariat thing but so happy added the moonroof. It's forward enough to provide lots of light and can peek out, which my wife's Rav4 seems a bit further back and did not originally order it with the truck. Also like my ultimate choice of color, Alto Blue. Would not change my build but wish the front seat had more support for my left leg.

+1 Lariat was never a consideration for us, the only thing I wanted (above our XLT hybrid) is a better sound system and the B&O is very very mediocre. We've had all the other bells and whistles on previous cars and we just don't value them. IMO, the value proposition just isn't there for $30k+, but (as noted earlier) there isn't an alternative if you want/need a truck. We weren't necessarily looking for a truck (just something that easily fits 4, cheap, and fuel efficient), so at the pricepoint of the lariat we were looking at sedans and hatchbacks.

Get what you want, we all have different wants and priorities.
