An alternative, if you don't like the seats, is to get some seat covers that you like. That should make you more comfortable and be a lot cheaper than getting rid of the vehicle.
Has anyone put seat covers on theirs yet? Do they still make seat covers? They were popular years ago.
Katzkins make leather ones...they look nice

I love my active-x seats. They are very comfortable and easy to clean. It gets into the 90's most of our summer and I have not had a probably with sticky seats (we don't have the high humidity like the southern states though).

Maybe I am the odd one but my Mav sits in the garage so it only gets the interior hot if out shopping on a sunny day. Some like leather, some ActiveX and others cloth, some like dark color seats and others not so much. I miss the 60's when my Chevy Impala SS bucket seats were white. :) Personally I am a cloth seat kind of guy but have no issues with the Lariat seats.

Like it better than the leather in any vehicle I've ever had. It's one of the best faux leathers out there.

I must be the dumbest, most insensitive person in the world. Have 6K on my Lariat including 4 10-12 hour driving days and never noticed the seats in a bad way.

I gotta get more critical of things in life.

Nope, I live in Georgia and have had my Lariat since November of last year. Comfortable in the cold and hot weather both 👍

Looks like I am in the minority about the Lariat seats, one of several reasons I chose NOT to get the Lariat trim is the seat color. It reminds me of the seat color in the F-series King Ranch trim, which I do not like.

I love my Lariat seats, no complaints at all. Sure they get hot but any leather or synthetic material will get hot.

I would have preferred genuine leather. The active-x seating doesn't seem very breathable and gets pretty sticky-feeling when hot/sweaty.
Typical of any vinyl seats.

I like them better then leather because of the durability and no maintenance. I think they can get hot when seated for a long time but no more than leather. I would have loved ventilated but understand why it's not on the maverick.

Having your windshield tinted in a ceramic coating should help. Ceramic tinted windows can block up to 95% of the heat. I also recommend doing driver and passenger window.
Any tinting of windshield may require recalibration of sensors!

I Fully understand!!!! Unfortunately I find them incredibly hot...to the point I am considering selling mine. I now live in South Carolina so no heat and humidity here:oops:
A cloth seat cover wouldn't address the issue or w/e material you like?
