Does anyone know of a way to have the horn beep when the exterior door lock is touched to lock the truck. Like when you use the fob with double tap locking. And is the alarm set when locking with touch?

Sorry, I don't have an answer to your problem, however, I would like to comment on the horn beeping with vehicle locks. Not only annoying, but startling especially when navigating in a parking lot and a person unlocks or locks their vehicle and the horn beeps and naturally, I think I"m being warned I'm getting too close to another car. I don't understand why anyone would want the horn to beep when locking/unlocking their vehicle, after all, the lights flash. Perhaps you can enlighten me.

From the side, by the door handle, you cannot see the lights flash to confirm that you did lock the doors. I have thought I locked the truck, but it was not locked. Having the horn beep confirms that the door is locked.

Also, this is A 2024 Lariat that has the Perimeter Alarm and the Securilock Anti Theft system. I just tested it and cannot seem to make it go off. There is no alarm setting under the Vehicle option. Did Ford not add this when the truck was built?

There is a setting in the steering wheel menu to disable that. Sorry I don't remember the process but have done it on our work Mavs.

Try locking the truck and unlocking+opening the door with the physical key and the fob body a good distance away.

I put the window down and locked it. I put the fob 20 feet away and opened the door with the inside handle. No alarm.

(update) I put the fob about 60 feet away and the alarm worked when I opened the door.

You took the words right out of my mouth. It's very annoying (to me) when someone pulls up and parks and sets their vehicle alarm and I hear the beep/chirp. I feel like I'm back in the past listening to those Viper alarms from the 90's.

But to each his own...

My Ferrari 360 Spyder, Porsche 911, and Lexus LC 500 all chirp when the door is locked and unlocked. You guys must get annoyed a lot…..

If you're standing right there by the vehicle you should be able to hear the doors lock. I find honk upon lock the most annoying thing that car makers ever put on a vehicle.

I love the fob double lock button push. Do it when walking away cannot see lights flash if no tooting. When horn honks once all 4 doors and hood are closed and locked. Horn honks twice doors and or hood not completely shut and cannot be locked. If another car honks and I am not positive I heard my trucks answer I will double push my fob a second or even a third time.

I just did not hear the truck lock. And you can’t see the lights flash. So it’s a big unknown.

The whole point of the touch door handle locking is lost without the chirp to let you know it’s locked.
