If you do not have the trucks permanent key code (came with truck on small tag). It is printed on the BCM located in passenger floor area on the side nearest the door. OR you can get it with both keys in key start trucks by inserting one of the keys without foot on brake turning to accessory waiting about 4 seconds when dash finishes "to start put foot on brake" pop up. Remove key then place the other key in and turn to accessory within five seconds (no foot on brake) wait for several seconds for a popup window which will say key code is nnnnn!
IF you have keyless start place the two keys in the bottom center of the console well pushing the start button without foot on brake sequencing like above example with the keys the button pushing is like turning key on and off!

Because my 2024 Mav locks itself sometimes (arbitrarily), I'm careful to take my phone with me in the summertime when I want to keep her cool running. Otherwise, I take the key with me. Never know when it's gonna happen (arbitrary for real). Thankfully, i always had my phone with me when it surprised me a few times. The keypad sounds add-on great.

The process you posted, is what I would use if I wanted to change my numbers.
2024 25 and 26. Do not have a wired keypad. Ford Mavericks with a wired keypad are the ones with a keypad code number.
The question that was asked was. If he bought a remote wireless keypad and stick it to the outside of the Maverick, is he able to program it. That process is done by the dealership.
Because I'm a 2023 with a wired keypad I get one of these.

You can certainly tell the dealer where you want to keypad mounted, but they have to do the programming.

The OP doesn't have any keypad on his truck whatsoever. Therefore he doesn't have a little tag with a keypad security code on it.
He wants to add a keypad the only way that he can do this is with a stick on wireless remote keypad that Ford has the program. Wireless keypad pictured below.

I'll check this out. It is logical that at least another step might be needed to do a one time mating if generic key pad. Seems like I read somewhere that someone had added a keypad using the process like programming a third fob or adding a fob when you had only one fob....??? Take a day or two for Brazil nuts to find that memory???

Saw additional short bad video of someone installing wireless keypad, who had computer screen open (was not forscan, I think) maybe Ford (?) clicked on line and was prompted to enter serial number of wireless keypad. I could not get link to work for that.....
