That's always my first reaction... get away from a driver like that ASAP. I've even pulled over before, if it's possible and safe to do

same here, i get out of the way if a vehicle drives erratic, person driving with a phone in their hand, front end damage on the vehicle, someone who brakes late -- spent some years on two wheels and developed a healthy fear of vehicles.

Well I've wanted to do this for a long time but has anyone put a train horn on their Mav yet ?
And if so, pleeeaaase give up the the installation and equipment used !!

The air horns on the fire trucks around here are intense but too big for the little Mav.

Train horns are larger than the air horns on fire trucks. There's a place that sells train horns. They're shipped on a pallet.

I guess you could mount it in the bed of a truck

A horn this size, is probably adequate for most.
You just have figure out a way to remotely operate it.

Early automobiles were built without airbags. As vehicles became more powerful and faster, fatal accidents increased, leading governments to mandate airbags by law.

A similar trend will likely happen with cell phones. In a few years, it wouldn't be surprising if governments make cellular signal jammers mandatory in cars to prevent phone use while driving.

My wife and I were driving home yesterday with our dog from the lake. A guy pulls up next to me on the thruway and I see his head BobbiNguyen up and down obviously texting on his phone. I blasted my horn at him and he just ignored me. Fortunately our exit was 1/2 mile away. Hopefully he didn’t kill someone’s down the road.

I’d be all for technology to jam cell signals while cars are in motion. Pull over if it’s that important and save a life, maybe even yours.

The car is still running the driver is unable to call because of a signal jammer in the car. The lawsuit from that would be incredible.

My ADHD is a super power for poor behaviors. I don't always phone and drive but, well... The maverick makes voice command easy... Otherwise, I would do 1-3 words at a time and look up. Like texting while walking, have I almost walked into a light pole? Yes. Did I? No
... Because I looked up right on time or, saw it when I looked up awhile ago and knew it was coming. I only do full diatribes while laying down or on the couch.

Honestly though, it wasn't like the usual phone drift you see. The wheel got fast jerked into my lane. Like they dropped something or they were fighting and the passenger was like, "so what if I did this!"

That's wild. My sister-in-law's dad passed away in an accident caused by that very thing. Two people in the other car were fighting, and the passenger jerked the steering wheel, causing the driver to lose control, cross the median, and hit his car at 65 mph right in the A-pillar. Killed on impact. The passenger who jerked the wheel went to jail.

Two people in the other car were fighting, and the passenger jerked the steering wheel, causing the driver to lose control, cross the median, and hit his car at 65 mph right in the A-pillar. For some people Auto driving cars are a necessity.
I know the nit nat's out there will chime in about how many people have been injured or killed from Tesla's Auto driving feature. But nobody knows how many lives may have been saved by it.

Don't forget to install the locomotive warning bell that rings loudly when the engine is running and in gear but at a standstill... pedestrians sometimes need a "heads up" too!
