How to prove the passenger jerked the steering wheel?
Cop: "Driver said you jerked the wheel."
Passenger: "Yep."

As Ron White joked, "I had the right to remain silent, but I didn't have the ability."

same here, i get out of the way if a vehicle drives erratic, person driving with a phone in their hand, front end damage on the vehicle, someone who brakes late -- spent some years on two wheels and developed a healthy fear of vehicles.
Me too.
My mindset on the scoot was that I was invisible to everyone on the road, except for the few that were trying to kill me...

All that's missing are the 360 degree mounts above the horns for the twin 8 barreled Gatling cannons... The AI interface will determine driver intent....

I bought a 2023 Mav in Cyber Orange for two reasons. One is that I love the color. Two is that I just feel ‘safer’ driving it. I am positive that people notice it sooner than a vehicle that blends into the background. Just a theory posited Pamela. Sorry for the awful driving experiences!!! Better luck ahead to you!
Ford Maverick Just ordered replacement tail lights. Bought her 3 weeks ago. Again ?! IMG_6368

Hopefully you do better than this guy. It seems color didn't matter.
In late August, I was rear-ended while sitting at a stoplight. I wasn't hurt, but the crumple zones did their jobs and sacrificed themselves. I got notified that it was totaled last week. 8900 miles. Once the insurance wrangling is done, it's off to Dovi Motors in Cortland, NY to order a '25. I only wish that Cyber Orange was still available!

Personally, I don't think color does a tinker's Dam when somebody's attention is focused on their phone.

That's wild. My sister-in-law's dad passed away in an accident caused by that very thing. Two people in the other car were fighting, and the passenger jerked the steering wheel, causing the driver to lose control, cross the median, and hit his car at 65 mph right in the A-pillar. Killed on impact. The passenger who jerked the wheel went to jail.
Boy, YOU (@BK007) DO Like that Magic Eraser Guy..

First off, I'm glad you at least walked away. That is a huge bruise! It's amazing how easily we can get injured by others' mistakes.

Second, you will understand if I want you to not get near my truck. Your track record being what it is....
Hey now, my lifetime track record on totaled vehicles is 100% not my fault. Not to say I've NEVER been at fault or made some contribution by not adequately evading due to bald tires but, the last 6 years, my hands are clean.

I completely agree phones are a serious problem. Not sure why police aren't policing more. There was a time that they were cracking down on it now not so much. Should be treated like a DWI/DUI. Had a woman in and out of my lane yesterday, of course texting on the phone. Not sure what's so important that it's necessary while driving? And like someone else mentioned, why in this day and age don't people link up their bluetooth?? You can talk your whole damn drive with both hands on the wheel! 😤 I don't think blockers are the way tho. Why do we always let a couple bad apples ruin it for everyone? They need to be prosecuted, maybe they'll learn (probably not tho). I don't use my phone often in the vehicle but sometimes it's important and I use my bluetooth, not that difficult. With everyone on social media and YouTube it's not hard to find out how to hook it up to any vehicle 🤷‍♂️ sorry, my rant is over now lol
Car accidents stimulate the economy.

"The customer is always right..." And "To serve and protect..." are not complete sentences.

"The customer is always right in matters of taste."

"To protect and serve" ... Well I'd actually be making up the rest of this one with some things people might not appreciate.

@PamelaHaley What's the plan now? Are you gonna wait till the 2027's come out or do you think you'll go for an earlier MY again? Truth be, if you swapped over to a F-350 I wouldn't blame you.

Glad you weren't seriously harmed this time. Your whole situation is heartbreaking, and I hope this trend doesn't continue. Praying for a speedy recovery 🙏
I'll see how long I can stretch not having a vehicle until I find the next victim :ahem:. I'm not working but, do have a wedding coming up. My husband has a motorcycle (which he is trying to sell) and a work vehicle he can borrow sometimes. If I wake up early enough, I can take him to work in his vehicle and run errands. I have a Luxury level 26 Chrysler Pacifica on Progressive's dime, for a bit. I don't hate it.

That's for sure! Human Rights
Would be super cool if the government just put money into public transit. We live in the Atlanta Metro and they always promise one more lane will fix things in a city that requires over 4 million people commute into daily.

Just a few years ago, the Feds and WI DOT made I-94 four lanes wide... Still have backups.. And the "Slow Lane" Campers. Still hang out on the left side...
