The bottom is ridged, my dog is happy,I appreciate it, but I have the same one and my dog is not a fan (of any hammock). Plus, showing me a cheap alternative after I have already made the bench is kinda silly.
I’ve done this with most every vehicle I’ve had. It’s a very good idea.I picked up my third Maverick on Jan 13. The first was a Lariat FX4, then a Lariat Lux Hybrid, then a random Porsche Cayenne Diesel, and now a '25 Lobo High. I went in to test drive a '25 Lariat Hybrid but was disappointed. Almost as a joke, I asked the salesman to pull the Lobo around. Turns out, I loved it. It sounds better, the turbo adds to the feeling of fun, and the frame handles like a civic that is also benefiting from some rear end action. Shoutout to Interstate Ford in Miamisburg, OH for the absolute best buying experience I've had.
Thus, begins my Lobo Log-o.
My plan is to log everything here for everyone to see. This will include categories of:
1. Total Costs
2. Fuel and Mileage
3. Maintenance
4. Accessories and Modifications
5. Problems and Recalls
Round Ups will occur in posts with Google Sheets embedded, but I will add separate posts with the actual projects.

The bottom is ridged, my dog is happy,
I did it for others who might like a cheap easy drop in that will get~er~done.
Yours looks very comfy.
Did you remember a seat belt/short leash hook up for the dog’s safety in a crash ?
In my 2004 Escape a deer ran out in front of me,
I hit the brakes, near miss,
My 82 pound Bulladore hit the dash. Cracked two control knob faces for the A/C controls. Knocked my coffee all over the floor mats and my shoes.
My dog was fine but very pissed off at the deer. :’P
Just sayin.
I think In NC there’s a pet seatbelt law,
No really I shit you not !
The seatbelt buckles are still usable behind the platform. I'm also planning on some hidden D-rings and a detachable net for the front. I'm glad your Bulladore was unharmed! You can never predict what the road has in store.I’ve done this with most every vehicle I’ve had. It’s a very good idea.
Next break it down to a true cost per mile.
That can sometimes be an eye opener on the cost of owning and operating a vehicle.
It shows the benefits or downfalls of keeping a vehicle til it dies as opposed to to trading up every four or five years.
My most extreme:
2008 2.7Ltr Tacoma, 528,000 trouble free miles in six years. Server duty in the Florida heat.
Loss of compression forced me to trade it in, imagine that !
Cost per mile to operate was low obviously. Trade in value, ha !
They took a thousand off a new F-150 Work truck.
I was so friggen happy I got that much.
I counted everything knowing there was no return on mods,
Topper, bed slid out, Timbren lifts,
Those three mods were $1900
