Eibachs installed. Front right strut ( only that one) clunking even after reinstalled everything two times. As per instructions and all torques are by the book. Sounds like an old piece of junk in bumpy roads. Eibach said it shouldn’t sound because they R&D a lot and in their perfect world there are no clunking sounds. Guess what is going on in my REAL world. My Maverick is only 3500 miles so suspension components are OK. And before installation there were NO clunk sounds. Now is my problem. Let’s see what Eibach will do. I asked for warranty.

The best thing to do with Any lowering spring, HR, Eibach, GoodWinRacing, is to use the lobo shocks/struts aswell. they match better compression and rebound for the lowered springs. In theory ANYTIME a spring rate is changed, the shock(dampers) must be changed to match. in reality no one wants to spend that money etc. or people use 2 way adjustable shocks/damps

so were your front wheels on the ground when you torqued the center nut on the strut top hat?

the initial production of the eibach springs had a slightly different front spring design and some people complained of noise. most had no issues. that's all in this thread, but it's 15 pages, so I just thought I'd mention it again.

eibach changed it and replaces any original springs that are found, but this was 2+ years ago now, so I wouldn't think a person would be able to buy a set that contained the old springs.

still, I'd ask them about that.

Well, I’ve installed the Eibach kit in my 2022 AWD and I am NOT impressed. The sway bar is smashing into the pinch weld. I’ve called Eibach and they said that they’ve never heard of this issue, I’ve also spoke with a few others on a FB page and they are NOT having the banging issue. One guy basically told me that it’s my fault and not Eibach’s….he must rep for them??

Does anyone have the official length of end link that needs to be ordered? I ordered some off EBay that someone provided a link to, but they are 6+” too long, and they didn’t know the length, just the link.

Eibach asked me to send them photos, which I will get this weekend when I’m back home.
But it does look good….just rides like shit with no suspension travel.

I've never heard of anyone with such an issue, and actually never heard of anyone needing new end links, either. pics of the sway bar and where it's striking the pinch weld, please?

I don't know if you mean front or rear sway bar but neither of them are remotely close to the pinch welds that run down the sides of the truck, which are the jack points. I haven't spent a great deal of time laying under my truck looking at the chassis, though, so there could be something else in the middle, near a sway bar.

regarding it being your fault, the first thing that comes to mind is if you use air or electric tools improperly on any of the bolts that are in a bushing, you can destroy the bushing by wallowing it out. but that still doesn't help me understand where you believe your sway bar is hitting the chassis.

There’s pinch welds all over the body, they aren’t only in one spot. The location is right above the front sway bar almost right where the lower control arm connects to the subframe.
I’ve been a mechanic for 25+ years professionally, and I’m pretty sure I installed them properly, given the very basic instructions from Eibach. LOL!

And it’s not a matter of “believing” it is hitting somewhere, there’s actual damage to the front sway bar where it is hitting.

Yeah but the Lobo just came out, so what should someone have done prior to that?

so post a pic? this still doesn't change the fact I've never heard of anyone with this issue and it is kinda looking like your real goal is bitching rather than trying to get advice and ideas for resolving your issue. I asked for more information than just pics and you gave nothing.

the noise that this thread was originally created for is/was not at all similar to what you're reporting.
