Is this really Hot Pepper Red?

So numerous images show this as the color of Hot Pepper Red:

But Tim Bartz at Long McArthur posted the fist Maverick had arrived in Hot Pepper Red looking like this:

That is a big difference! Not sure I like the color that showed up at Long McArthur. Maybe a cloudy versus a sunny day? Thoughts???

I was going to go with the hot pepper red but I saw one picture somewhere where it looked more orange, which swayed me away from choosing it especially since it cost more. I wanted a true red, not reddish orange.

wish rapid red would have been available for the xlt!

I saw that video and that color is burnt orange, imo.

I’m not a huge fan of Fords color representations in the build page. As more and more are being delivered or on display, many times it doesn’t show what it looks like in person very well.

I fidgeted it around in Photoshop and did some color correction, and it appears its just a really shitty photo of Cyber Orange.

Yeah ford's colors on B/P are whacked. We have seen both Cactus Grey and HPR in person on a Ranger and Full size Bronco. Both colors change so much outside with sun / shade /clouds. -

The B&P tool is rendered, and many photos are affected by lighting and camera quality. Its worth seeing in person. It does look like a burnt orange/burnt sienna 684 color in person.

The B&P tool is rendered, and many photos are affected by lighting and camera quality. Its worth seeing in person. It does look like a burnt orange/burnt sienna 684 color in person.

Not to mention LCD screen RGB and sRGB color accuracy.

Thanks for that post...That's the dilemma...If it definitely looks like this...that is what I would want. And I am ok if looks different in different lighting...but I don't want it to look like that burnt orange all the time. I guess it confuses me some. Are the pre production ones that made the rounds a few weeks back the same HPR as the ones coming out in production?

This is a color I'd have to see in person before committing to. I don't mean any offense, it's been captured beautifully as a burnt orange, but when I see it more reddish as that studio photo you first posted, I don't care for it. I prefer the orangish, so my opinion is biased.

I just hope nobody orders this hoping for the rich dark red that you can only truly get with the rapid red FE.
