11 months old, 23K miles, today I'm driving down I-57 and hear this "boom". Somehow I got hit by a rock (I think) on the lower part of the drivers-side rear door. Can't remember if I was getting passed at the time, I may pull the chip from my dashcam and see if I can find the moment of impact. So much for parking out in the boonies of parking lots, to get this while rolling at 75mph.

I too am a long-distance parker. Not a scratch on my truck in all the time I owned it - until one hospital lot where I had no choice but to jump in with the unwashed masses. Combine that with the distraction of grief and emotion, and I self-inflicted some lovely permanent scrapes on the front bumper.

It’s lived-in now.

Hahaha, that's exactly what my wife said (having to look at it every time you walk up). But, she DID mention going to look at that new clone at a nearby dealer,,,,,,

When I get back from my current trip, I'll stop by a PDR shop and see what they say.

Same thing happened to me coming back from Whistler Bike Park on Monday, only it was my windshield. Booked an appointment with Speedie Glass on Monday. Windshield replaced on Friday. $120 deductable.

I used one before and it helped the dent some. Was not perfect, but an improvement.

Only thing to hit my Maverick was a chain boomer (tie down) off a flat bed semi. Bounced off my windshield at 65 an almost came completely through before exiting off the side onto the interstate. I just hope it did not hit anyone else. Did no other damage to truck other than windshield. Yours should be easy fix with a PDR. I know it's a bummer with that first scratch/dent. Kind of makes you sick to look at it. Good luck.

Gosh, no you can get the little kit with the little rubber cups. Stick it on there and pop it back out no problem. 20 bucks!

Yes, exactly. These little kits are great and cheap and it might not be perfect, but maybe be barely visible. I’ve had a couple of Volkswagen Eurovans that I refurbished, including popping like 100 little parking lot dents.
