Here is a cheaper option that I use. The Pulse Protects seems to only effect the third brake light. This does the same thing.actually, they CAN!
either through aftermarket bulbs, or with this product, whch, from my understanding, IS available through your ford dealership......

Someone posted complaining his dealer had added "Pulse Protection" as an add on rip off! Here is a cheaper option that I use. The Pulse Protects seems to only effect the third brake light. This does the same thing.

I remember another forum member put construction vehicle stripes on the back of his Maverick. Guess what, he got rear ended and it was totaled. Here is a cheaper option that I use. The Pulse Protects seems to only effect the third brake light. This does the same thing.

Naturally. If it fits, it sits!!Do we ignore Amazon's does not fit Maverick?
From Day 1 of getting my Maverick in April 2022, I felt like it was a magnet for other peoples' bad driving. People would cross two lanes of traffic to get into my lane like I was completely invisible. More often than not, people would casually drift over into my lane - almost got sideswiped at least twice. Traded it in back in August 2024.I have never come close to being rear-ended since I've gotten my Maverick, but in the 6 months I've owned it I've had four or five cars pull out in front of me. I'm like, what am I freaking invisible? Couple days ago a UPS truck started to pull out and if I didn't hit my brakes he would have slammed right into my side. And then he gave me a look, like he was saying, "sowwy.".
After reading about the accidents that people have had I thought well things happen. But I've had more close calls in the 6 months of this Maverick than I did in the previous 20 or 25 years of driving my Camry and my Plymouth Voyager. There must be something about the Maverick.
I'm glad you've never been rear ended and I also sometimes turn the flashers when I think it makes sense.Well I always do and have never been rear ended. So I guess it works.
so you are saying those stripes caused it!I remember another forum member put construction vehicle stripes on the back of his Maverick. Guess what, he got rear ended and it was totaled.
Anyone thinking of doing this, check your local laws, strobe lights on none emergency vehicles may be illegal in your area.
Distracted for sure, the cars themselves are distracting. The stuff on our info-tainment screens is distracting, buttons without tactile feel require eyes to divert from the road.I did it driving truck, and alot of other truckers did it, too.
Then you have to remember to turn the flashers back off once the traffic gets back up to speed. Doh!
I personally noticed alot of aggressive driving during the pandemic, when traffic volumes dropped, atleast locally. People driving very fast in residential areas. It never seemed like it went back to what I thought was normal. Maybe I'm just getting older, crotchetier and it's not as different as it feels to me?
There are alot of aggressive, distracted, and angry drivers out there, and I know that's not just in my head.
I used to think this was horse poop too. That's what break lights are for. However, driving is a new multitasking sport and people are glancing away often and only using half their brain while doing other stuff.Always wear a mask while in your vehicle also!
Some who have them (bump step) have claimed that when in a low speed impact they have either lessened the damage or completely eliminated damage to the truck at speeds less than 5 MPH.I've been wondering if a bump step adds any significant protection if rear ended, and I'm guessing the answer is it depends on impact speed. I welcome hearing any experience with this.
I like your idea of reflective tape and will add that to my bump step. Some who have them (bump step) have claimed that when in a low speed impact they have either lessened the damage or completely eliminated damage to the truck at speeds less than 5 MPH.
Because of this I bought a bump step and added reflective tape to hit to illuminate at night from trailing headlights.
My dealer puts that on all the vehicles they sell. I am not even sure if it's legal. I was able to tell them not to put it on mine. I do recall it wasn't cheap either. Like most of these dealer add ons.actually, they CAN!
