You may want to consider PPF film, although a bit late for current damage.

I had my windshield replaced at 4k on my 2025. Wasn't even directly behind anyone on frwy. My new windshield makes popping noises at various speeds like it's being hit, but it's not. Codes for all 2025 windshields is not
avaliable yet. I hope that will help? All info has been working though. Idk if replacement (small rock hit next to drivers post sent a crack across entire front)

I just hit 6000 miles and noticed a chip on the lip of the hood. It sucks. Ordered the touch-up stick from my dealer.

It is not only Ford. I am having the same issues on my (now my daughters) 2018 VW Passat. That paint is very thin as well. Guess it is part of the cost cutting by all manufacturers.
You can thank the EPA for the shit paint available today.

In right at 3 years of ownership, I've had two full windshield replacements and five rock chips repairs. Both windshield replacements were due to rock chips.

In the last three weeks, I went in for a rock chip repair and within 10 minutes of leaving the glass place a trailer kicked up a rock chip that hit right at the edge of the windshield about 1/2 way up on the passenger side. Crack. Got it replaced and two weeks later got another chip that needed to be repaired....and I got it while I was trying to switch lanes to get out from behind a vehicle because I started to hear the 'tink-tink-tink' of rocks being kicked up on a road that had been stripped down a layer to be repaved.

Nope, no rock chips. I’ve owned my Maverick for a little over a year and it has zero rock chips.

My biggest problem with the Maverick is that it seems like the AGM battery is dead almost every time I go to use it.

My 2021 4Runner has the same issue - lots of paint chips. I find that most 2 Stage paints today chip easy. My wife's 2022 Volvo XC40 has 3 Stage white pearl tri coat paint and has almost no paint chips.

Other than the common sense recommendations of avoiding following dump trucks and big rigs, I don't see how one can completely avoid getting them. Seems to be just one of the hazards of being on the road. A hood deflector would help, but not sure if it would prevent chips along the side. I highly recommend touch-up paint, not only for aesthetics, but to keep paint integrity and prevent rust.
