Running 18.6 and taking my 2024 back to the dealer again. My phone will only connect via Bluetooth again. So no maps. Dealer claimed to fix it a month ago but usb died again several weeks ago. Message is "The inserted USB device is not responding" The dealer said they used an Android phone and USB worked. I have replaced the USB cable and tried my IPhone in 2 other vehicles and have no problems there. So back to the dealer on Thursday.

On the bleeding edge 😁
It promised a totally new CarPlay interface and all it did was round off the panes to look more like android auto. That’s it.

In exchange I got the typical absurdly poor battery life but otherwise it’s been okay. I don’t love the new UI and the fact it did nothing for CarPlay sucks.

Im not expecting the Ford connected experience but I figured Apple could roll something of note out.

I’ve had issues, but in both my maverick and nissan the past week. Deleted profiles in veh and on phone for both and they both now seem to sync fine wirelessly again so I’m guessing it was on apple’s side.

18.6 works and streaming no longer hiccups BUT CarPlay reverted back to streaming Sirius audio from the iPhone rather than using the Maverick Sirius app and antennae the way I set it up.

Streaming this way doesn’t give us live programming and pancakes the iPhone battery as the passive charger does nothing but heat up the phone until it shuts down due to temperature. The way Ford designed this to prefer streaming is a pain and not my choice. Maps continue just fine.
