right, I did it just for the power tailgate lock and remote start. Everything else I don’t care about.
Power tailgate lock is standard on all XLT trimmed trucks, not a part of the lux package. Also if you have a best buy nearby, they have sales every couple months where you can get a 2 WAY compustar remote starter with a mile range for under $300 installed. So I figure for most people, including me the lux package is mostly about the heated stuff. I personally chose to skip it, and I'm from Chicago. My maverick will spend it's nights on the street and the factory ford remote start fob will have a hard time reaching it. And not knowing if it started successfully by getting a 2way remote is a deal breaker for me. Remote start is also available through the my Ford pass app, which theoretically has unlimited range, but a monthly fee. Although my Ford salesman said it's free for first 2 years. I guess I will try that before I go to bb.

I'm surprised at how many ordered 360. I didn't. I've ordered XLT, for cruise control. Can anyone explain why the 360 was so popular?
Personal preference. For me I was going to get a full size spare anyway, and for the rest of the $425 the blind spot and most importantly for me, the backup cross traffic alert is a bargain. I can't tell you how many times I'd be backing out of somewhere and couldn't see past the cars on my sides but my cross traffic alert went on and possibly saved me from a fender bender, (technically a bumper buster not a fender bender.) At that price, if it saves you from an accident just one time, it will have paid for itself in just your insurance deductible and stress. That's just my view on it

I can understand that. I've never had a car with vented seats, never rented a car with vented seats so I don't know what I'm missing. I would imagine it would be nice as the sun in Dallas kills seats.
Ventilated seats cure chronic swamp @$$.

It screams louder the longer and colder your winters get with the remote start, heated seats, steering wheel, wiper, and mirrors

Ford pass app is free. I’ve heard nothing on a trial period. Our Audi has a similar free app.

Then why is it listed as part of the XLT luxury package?
It adds remote start to the key fob. All mavs down to the xl may remote start using the fordpass app

Oh ok. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Yep. And I leave my keys in my truck 100% of the time so to have the unlock and start on my phone made the fob obsolete.

We should do a poll of where people are from. Like whether you are from a rural area or an urban one. I’d be curious to see just how many city folk ordered one vs us out in the sticks.
i live in Austin, TX (suburban more so than urban), I’d guess suburban buyers will be a pretty good chunk of the total.

I agree. Seemed like you gotta a lot of bang for your buck with that Lux Package. I thought it was a no brainer. But, basic XLT price is pretty darn good.
Warm weather states have little use for heated seats, heaTed wiper parks. I cover my steering wheel, so leather steering wheel is no biggie and power seats bust.

Hahahaha
Tell my wife she don't need that heated seat. We live in Central Florida and her''s stays on all the time. Even with the AC on. May not be cold outside but she claims it helps her back.

I park outside under a carport. So in the winter the heated seats and steering wheel come in handy. At least until the engine warms up and starts blowing heat instead of ice cubes.

Doesn’t that only work with the 4G or whatever it uses and you have to pay AT&T a monthly service?

P.S. My first car was a '76 Maverick. Vinyl seats, no a/c, four-door sedan.
