Reminds me of the time (90s) a very lifted truck in front of me on the freeway broke it's drive shaft. It was banging around underneath still connected on one end, beating the crap out of the underside of the truck, then it broke off and came right at me. Somehow it decided to go off the side of the freeway without hitting anyone.

Once I was on interstate 27 following semi. Rear leaf spring came out and I couldn't swerve due to traffic. Drove over sliding spring in my Chevy luv pickup at 65 mph somehow spring stayed flat on road and I cleared it. The rear axle of semi veered off road entering at least one motel room.....

You can edit videos on Youtube. It will be compressed by default, then just trim the segments before and after what you want to keep.

Thank you for the YouTube suggestion. I've never uploaded/posted any videos before, they make it pretty easy, and I've gone back in and shortened them

Agree! Watching both videos, the far-right lane that is more evident in the rear-facing shot is an exit lane. At the moment of loss, it's only 2 lanes wide.

I was at 69mph at the time, I'd say the truck & trailer was about 65. I was catching him, but not that quickly.
