I have a 2024 XLT Ecoboost FX4. Mainly carries me to work every day plus bikes on the weekend and Home Depot runs for lumber. And used it to teach my daughter to drive. She logged 50 hours of learner's permit driving, now she wants it.
Well crap, I just went and looked at mine and it has that starting on both sides, more so on drivers side. Looks like the rubber is shrinking and pulling away.
I don’t know anything about lowering the rear but as far as I know this kit is still available through Zone Offroad. I didn’t do an alignment after install and haven’t noticed any issues but it probably did threw off the alignment a little. I just did the 3/4” part of the lift, not the spacer...
I have the Nokian Rotiiva tires in 245/65r17 and they are great tires. They were discontinued so I will likely get the Outpost APTs next when these are worn out. What's good about these tires is they are relatively light and are low rolling resistance, so don't kill your MPG.
Reminds me of the time (90s) a very lifted truck in front of me on the freeway broke it's drive shaft. It was banging around underneath still connected on one end, beating the crap out of the underside of the truck, then it broke off and came right at me. Somehow it decided to go off the side of...
Curious if anyone else has this issue. MY24 Ecoboost XLT. Owned for over 2 years and always use Apple Car Play. Never had touble answering phone calls through Car Play, either using screen to accept call or the steering wheel. Right after I got the recall repair for the frozen backup camera...
Running 245/65r17 Nokian Rotiiva, similar to Outpost APT, supposed to be low rolling resistance. I think I lost about 1.5 mpg, mostly affects street. Still gets 31 to 33 on all freeway driving.
I stumbled across this image in an article about the Tremor. It's either an artist's rendering or AI generated. I think it looks great though, this is how they should have done it.
Look good. How well do they light the road? My ‘24 XLT (standard headlights) are better than any vehicle I have ever owned. Really light up the road great. I know most guys who would get these are just into looks but for me they would have to work as good or better than stock.
So did the Ecoboost slow down that much for 2025? Chart says 0-60 is 8.02 sec. My 2024 FX4 does it in 5.9 sec.
Did a little research, that graph is wrong. Ecoboost still 5.9 to 6.6 0-60. And hybrid around 8.
The Steeda link says it has increased wall thickness, which means it is tubular, not solid. Goodwin Racing sells a 1” diameter solid one. Higher price but sounds like better quality. Link https://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda-Performance-Part/61-3291.html
I have a ‘24 ecoboost and noticed the smell of gas in the oil I drained on my first oil change at 1,900 miles. I’ve changed my oil my whole life and it jumped out at me as odd. Never smelled that before during oil changes. This is my first turbo and high pressure fuel pump vehicle though and...
Thanks! Extremely solid. Tested it with two bikes (current version actually has mounts for 3 bikes) going down road swerving left and right, purposely going over speed bumps, in and out of driveways and they barely sway. I have not tested it with tail gate closed yet. I need a way to attach a...
