Early millennial here. Driven used vehicles my whole life, from Explorers, Dodge Rams, F-150s and even an PHEV escape. But I always wanted a new vehicle once, but I wasn't going to do it if I couldn't make it make sense. The Maverick ticked all the boxes, plus it had the hybrid powertrain I...
It's crazy, I have never had these issues and I have owned my 25 hybrid Maverick for over a year. Even sitting at an airport for a week, I still got in and it fire right up.
To note, I have it auto start every week day, but not on weekends when I drive it less or not at all.
Have the Backflip revolver roll-up on my Maverick and I love it. I also have a backflip MX4 fold up on my F-150 and it's great too, biggest issue is losing the rear window and those sections get really heavy.
Overall I prefer the roll up unit just due to the ease of use and better visibility. I...
I've had that happen a few times. If you are using a VPN on your phone, android auto will not work.
Other times I have had it randomly decide to connect to my second phone as well. Be nice to set a phone priority order, Ford. 🙄
Suggestion? Test tow first. Pick a low traffic area and attempt to pull as is taking it slow and easy. Test brake feel, wind resistance, drag and acceleration. Stop after a few miles and check your trailer connection and vehicle stance to see where your weight is.
Nothing replaces first hand...
No real issues from my Maverick hybrid Lariat AWD. 5500 miles. Had a 360 degree camera update done due to artifacting and that's about it. Drive it every day.
I mentioned to Rival that the cat skid plate would be my preference after the front skid plate, followed by the passenger skid plate because it protects the battery. I don't necessarily plan to offroad the Mav, but it's nice to have the extra protection, especially if I accidently run over...
Rival prototyped the catalytic converter skid plate on my Mav hybrid AWD.( In photo )They will also be releasing the skid plates for the driver and passenger side (in photo) as well.
I know they make the 2.0T hybrid. Be nice if they would start doing more of that in the Mavericks. Really wish they had a plug in hybrid engine option.
Not much has changed with the Maverick. Trying to keep my foot out of it, but that electric motor is so nice blasting off the line.
Hauled this home the other week. First time driving with the tailgate down, but everything worked well, just turned off the backup sensors. Still kinda surprised...
2025 Lariat Hybrid - have had no issues after 3300 miles. No battery drain, check engine lights, squeaks or rattles. Solid truck and good everyday driver.
Remember the forum and the Internet give the 1% of the problems more visibility while ignoring that 99% of buyers have had zero issues.
Honestly? A plug in hybrid Maverick AWD. With 4k or better tow capacity.
That's it. I had the PHEV escape and that power train in this truck,... damn that would be a sleeper speed demon.
Retired my 2012 F150 XLT Supercrew, 6.5' bed 4x4 as my DD for an Escape then the Maverick. Love the truck, but it's a barge, drinks fuel, and most of the time hauls large amounts of air. Not to mention it's a pain in the ass to get in and out of the bed.
My Lariat Hybrid AWD is smaller, more...
I needed a good commuter vehicle that got better gas mileage than my aging 2012 F-150.
My first stab was a used '22 Escape PHEV, which was great, but I really missed having a bed to haul things with and AWD.
When I heard the '25 Maverick was coming out with AWD for the hybrid power train and had...
