Nope, hybrid battery (HV) can be up to 450V. If it goes dead it needs to be charged with a special high voltage battery charger.
Yah I'm not sure if Ford left the facilities to do it in newer models, but on older Escape Hybrids you put a charger on the 12v battery pushed a special button and it ran some transformer that put a little charge into the traction battery from the 12v. Like this the manual for the Maverick only mentions jumping in a normal sense.

Yeah, that feature was eliminated in the 2009 and later Escapes. None of the Fusion or C-Max hybrids have it either.

what is the point of this thread? It’s at a dealer with trained techs/mechanics and access to Ford engineers if need be. What is a bunch of computer chair keyboard warriors going to do 😂

I hope the deslership has someone competent enoigh to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. These trucks do not really contain any new technology not seen on other previous Ford vehicles.

Have them check the bulkhead connection from the trans and run a test on the ISC (basically electrical main controller for the trans) They should be able to run a continuity check to see if the rotors and stators are putting out electrical power also. If the rotors or stators aren't connected properly you won't get any hybrid power.

While I would like to know the cause out of pure curiosity - Im sure in their own dealership time they will figure out what the cause is and repair it. Guessing on the million possible causes without actually having the vehicle is just a time waster :)

Curious was it a very early build that had to sit for months in Mexico. If the hybrids traction battery was very low it wont be able to start the engine. I believe to trickle charge it back you basically have to leave the 12v battery charging for awhile.
The traction battery does not start the engine. It's the 12 volt that does that and powers the electronics. The traction battery only powers the drive motor. If they replaced the 12 volt, it's probably something else.
