This thread inspired me to have mine done, they completed the 3 recalls about 2 hours ago, and it was not hooked up to a battery charger that I’m aware of. Hope that wasn’t intended to be part of the process.

Well , I attempted to take my 23 hybrid in with 2,200 miles on it , for an oil change, and outstanding recalls. I tried to schedule on line, but couldn't get through. So I called the service department. There I was told that their" system had been down for 5 or 6 days, and they can't schedule any service appointments. So, I asked if they were closed. He said no , they can work on previously made appointments. He said to call back in 6 days to see if the problem has been solved.
So, I have active recalls, and my dealer can't even schedule service. Ford doesn't exactly inspire confidence these days.

Dealer is probably affected by the CDK Software hack that happened a few days ago. It may be awhile until things are running smoothly again based on articles I have read.

I had 5 recalls done last week. Have driven approx. 150 miles since the work was done and truck seems normal, but I am watching things like a hawk!

Another poster just detailed how the recalls messed up his hybrid...looks like I'm going to be waiting at least through end of summer.

I just took my 2022 XL hybrid to the Crestview, FL, StepOne dealership for those recalls and the other open recalls for which they kept saying they needed parts (battery cable). It was 6 total recalls, 5 software and the cable. They said an hour when I scheduled it. Eight and a half hours later I got it back. The cable took them 2.5 hrs, which I almost can understand. The six hours for the software updates I cannot.
AND... They deprogrammed my cruise control in the process. True, I added the buttons and programmed it myself when I got the vehicle in May 2023. Still, they could easily see the buttons and could have ensured it worked in all that verification they claimed was the source of the 6hr work.

Bottom Line: if you added the cruise control yourself, don't be surprised if the recalls delete the settings.

I had 4 recalls done yesterday on my '23 Hybrid.

24S27
24C01
23C41
23E09

Mobile service van hooked up to the jump points under the hood during the update process. Tech stated that while there were four updates total, from his perspective it was more like two. One BCM and one PCM update.

My MTE display is still figuring itself out, but I have no concerns at this point. Like @cactuar I was dragging my feet on getting these done.

If anything changes I will update here.

Hmmmm, I thought recall 24S33 was the update to 23E09?
I had 2 "limp mode" occurrences after having 23E09 done in early March. Had 24S33 done beginning of June.

24S33 doesn't supersede 23E09. Rather it's a recall to address those who had the faulty PCM/SOBDMC software applied (which could have also been for reasons outside of 23E09).

I received this recall letter at the beginning of May after having 23E09 done in early March. 24S33 seems to supersede 23E09 to me?

Description
Our records indicate that your vehicle recently received an update to the hybrid powertrain control module hpcm software calibration. This hpcm software can result in a forced neutral condition while driving resulting in the vehicle coasting to a stop and automatically shifting to park, along with a wrench light, multiple warning messages in the instrument panel cluster and an audible chime. After shifting back into drive the vehicle will enter a limp home mode which provides limited torque at low speeds up to 30MPH.
Safety Risk
A loss of motive power can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Ford Motor Company has authorized your dealer to update the powertrain control module pcm software free of charge parts and labor.

@Darnon is right.

24S33 is the update to the update for your truck because yours already had some updates completed. Mine did not.

I have only had one(edit: two) update(s) from a TSB since my truck was new and it was almost a year ago. TSB 23-2248 and 23E07.

Regardless - I don’t care to debate about this because all of the recalls that I have listed are directly from Ford for my truck.

Edit to add: the dealer that I work with, despite all its faults, has a competent group of techs that figured out why this update was causing trucks to get stranded well before the official “fix” (see: 24S33) was released from Ford.

The only problem I experienced after the recall’s was hyper flashing of my rear turn signal lights. I replace my original bulbs with Lasfit led bulbs before recall’s with no issues. Afterwards, experienced hyper flashing. Lasfit even sent me, free of charge, new and improved bulbs but the hyper flashing still continues on and off.
That's the reason the turn signal recall had the recall. Seems like it was because the first recall was incomplete as the load for the passenger turn signal was not taken or something like that.

Thousands of dealerships many brands that use pretty much the same software are in the same boat! Service appointments as well as updating work done, purchasing, delivering, almost anything that happens. The software mainframe plus who knows what else suffered a Ransome ware attack on , I think the 15th or 16th of June. Some dealers are attempting to do everything manually and then enter all into computers later. Reported data for June will not be entered until at least July. IT'S NOT JUST FORD!
