With all the recalls out there I was wondering if the Lariat Hybrid 2024’s are being affected as much too? Supposedly my Lariat Hybrid is being built this week but I have no confirmation. Starting to get a little cold feet. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

My 24 Lariat Hybrid was built mid January 24. I took home 4/3/24 (abandoned order). No issues, no shown/known recalls right now. Who knows what’s down the road. 600 miles so far & it fits my needs perfectly.
Based on some posted experiences I would weigh “software” recalls carefully.
My $.02.

I don’t think anyone here could give you a definitive answer. But I’ll give you a parallel. When my Mav was being built there lots of recalls and TSBs related to grabby brakes. That never applied to my build because I assume it already came with it. Lots of people complained about grabby brakes even after having all the services done. I never thought it was an issue.

I will assume… that your build will come with the latest firmware but also assume that the latest firmware will be installed directly (and that your build will not have an initial firmware install then a later firmware update as in the case of the recalls). I personally would take comfort in that because its one less thing to go wrong.

But again… only time will tell for sure it will apply to your Lariat build. The only thing we can offer is guesses and opinions based on little facts. If it were me, I’d see it through especially if I waited all this time and my Mav was finally being built. Now having my Mav I would still do it again even if I have to go through the “hybrid recall” madness (which I still just might have to do).

'24 Lariat Hybrid here. Built in November (took longer due to recall/issue being resolved during production) and picked up towards the end of January and now with close to 4000 miles. No issues whatsoever *knock on wood*. Just had the wiper fluid warning issue but different fluid and securing the sensor plug resolved it.

23 Lariat Hybrid with 3000 miles. Picked up Aug. 24, 2023. I have had all recalls done. They came to my house to do them. No open recalls at this time. I have had no ill effects from any software updates...so far.

My 24 Lariat Hybrid was built in February and delivered in March and has not been caught up in any recalls yet (touch wood). I am still making up excuses to drive it.

Mine: 2024 Lariat hybrid, arrived November 2023. VIN says it is the 3,170th 2024 Mav scheduled - I hear they don't always get assembled in exact order.

It turned 3k miles yesterday. No issues. No recalls. No dead battery. I deleted my FordPass a few weeks ago. That reduced the clicking [relays?] by about 60% that people report.

I experienced some quirkiness with the radio volume being louder upon startup than when I shut down. If I left the fan on, the next start would show the A/C on. So now I power down everything when I pull into the garage. Radio off. Seat heater off. etc. Quirkiness solved.

Drive it with a light foot the first thousand miles or so. Accelerating to get on the freeway is fine. I find that with premium, while it doesn't improve fuel economy that I can tell, the ICE has less "growl" than w/87 octane.

Overall, it is a very nice driving vehicle and suits my needs. Who can complain about 44-45mpg and going just under 600 miles per tank? I plan to keep it away from the dealer unless there is no other choice. Don't overthink things and enjoy driving your new trucklet.

Yes your '24 is affected by the fuel tank leak and you should not drive it
