Yes but that’s only while you’re driving I believe. The other method is still in park and at home in your driveway. Why not just switch to sport mode. Doesn’t that keep the ice on?

In my own testing of warming up the vehicle before driving it hasn’t shuttered, I think the PCM Update ford has released is a band aide to prevent the larger scale issue which is the flywheel clutch mechanism thing being replaced. Of course nothing is rock solid until ford admits to the issue themselves and releases a TSB of some sort.I’ve been following them… while they have SAID it’s a much more detailed “fix”…. I haven’t seen anyone say that they have gotten that “fix” and reported back on it. But maybe someone did, and I just haven’t seen it… which is entirely possible.
My hybrid has an occasional rattle at low speeds or idling when the gas engine switches off. Has been back to ford dealer twice and the last time they contacted ford directly. They claim this is normal operation. It is occasionally in normal and eco drive modes but happens most in sport since engine switches on and off more.
Information sent.Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.
Has yours been to Ford? I am curious if there is a true fix for this issue. My hybrid makes the EXACT noise but perhaps is a bit louder. I especially notice when my window is down at drive-thru restaurants.
No...just started happening less than 7 days ago...received a request here from the Official Ford account for Vin and dealer info - figured I wait to hear from them first. I teach and it is very difficult to get to the dealer during the work day.Has yours been to Ford? I am curious if there is a true fix for this issue.

I am interested to hear what they figure out. I never got any resolution and they had mine for a week. Eventually someone will get it fixed.Quick update....Last Thursday (01/05/23) marked the 3rd week the dealer has had my Maverick. Still no resolution as of today.
01/20/2023 UPDATE: Dealer had my car almost a month and still does not know what was causing the frequent shuddering and loud noises when the ICE shuts off and goes to battery or when I shut the Maverick off. Now I am worried that it might strand me if I go far from home. I do not like the feeling of not being able to trust my truck's reliability - and I have less than 3,000 miles on it and have made TWO loan payments. Too new to have this problem and the Ford mechanic not know what is wrong. One thing I noticed on the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website) was that there are WAYYYYYYY fewer complaints filed about the Maverick's shuddering than there are complaints about it here in the MTC forums. I have filed my complaint. If you haven't, you should too.
As of today, my Maverick is now 26 days at the dealer with no resolution.
If it makes you feel any better mine has about 25,000 miles on it currently and has been doing it since about 15,000 miles. I still have no resolution on mine either.01/20/2023 UPDATE: Dealer had my car almost a month and did not know what was causing the frequent shuddering and loud noises when the ICE shuts down and goes to battery or when I shut the Maverick off. But they had my truck for 28 days....and still had no idea what is wrong. My truck ran silently the first 1900 miles - you couldn't tell whether you were on battery or ICE. To me, now even the engine sounds louder when on. Is that the same for you too?If it makes you feel any better mine has about 25,000 miles on it currently and has been doing it since about 15,000 miles. I still have no resolution on mine either.
