Lane Keeping System alerts you when you are drifting out of your lane - it will vibrate the steering wheel.

Lane centering with adaptive cruise control keeps you centered in your lane.

Two different features.
I thought about what I had replied right after I hit the POST button. Thank you for the clarification. Either way though, I have in the past felt the steering wheel vibrate before but not shudder the entire truck. :)

Any update on the shudder issue experience or identifying what exactly is making the noise?
It sounds like the engine’s electronically controlled, plastic air circulation shutters repeatedly opening and closing.

Mine does the same thing. Started at 800 milesish. Took it in at 900 miles. Told me nothing unusual. I said I don’t believe that. It shutters going from ice to electric 50% of the time. Warm or cold doesn’t matter. Now I’ve noticed it when it’s going to charge mode even if it’s in electric mode first. I feel like now it’s more like running over small bumps at times even when on a flat surface.
I’m going to order another maverick this year and get the turbo. This sounds like a headache down the road. My first American car and I’m annoyed. Love the truck a lot but I’m afraid of future major problems. Plus I can’t be without a car. Ford not giving loaners for something l when you have an issue is a joke. Vw always gave me a loaner even for standard service. If the Taco is reasonably priced I may go foreign again.
I don’t believe Ford has any intention of fixing this “problem” because it’s probably costly. They probably figure as long as it goes past the warranty period they are off the hook.

Mine does that as well, sounds very concerning. Has anyone out there figured out what this is? It almost sounds like chain slapping against a plastic chain guide, but it doesn't do it ALL the time. Doesn't matter if car is hot or cold, it rattles on ICE shut down 50% of the time.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Maverick concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.

My hybrid has an occasional rattle at low speeds or idling when the gas engine switches off. Has been back to ford dealer twice and the last time they contacted ford directly. They claim this is normal operation. It is occasionally in normal and eco drive modes but happens most in sport since engine switches on and off more.

My hybrid use to do the same, however I took it to the dealer to update the software and it stopped. No more rattle or shudder.
