I am positive it is toxic (and volatile) in its liquid state! It has a safety data sheet. But let's call it black goo - it's easier to type.

I ordered on 6/21 and got confirmation within the hour. I've changed it a few times (from XL to XLT to XLT + Lux), but always hybrid. No build date yet, but I'm not too concerned. I'd rather skip the first month or two of production while they iron out the kinks. I expect a continued trickle of builds early on while everyone pulls their hair out, and then they'll shift into gear once they are satisfied with the production line and then they'll start working through the backlog a lot faster. I fully realise this is wishful thinking at least in part.

Ford does seem to have a cruel sense of humor, though. I installed the Ford app on my phone, and now they email me periodically to ask why I haven't entered my VIN into the app yet. That's a great question, Ford, a great question indeed.

This is my brother's 2009 GMC CANYON. The size and body style is close enough to my Maverick that I'm using this photo as a pacifier while I wait.

Interesting observation. Maybe they'll send us an email right before bed time. Oh the sweet dreams I would have... Me and my mav running/driving towards each other in slow motion as one of those cheesy love birds song plays in the background.... Sigh...

Nah... All the 10/18s were ecoboost. Still not mad. Just disappointed once again.

Agree!!!, FORD advertised the Hybrid 40 mpg city not the Ecoboost but very few hybrids produced either stock or retail??? Hybrid Retail orders should be priority!!!

Unfortunately they’re not a priority, so we need to adjust our expectations that they are.

Husband ordered on June 21st. I ordered on July 8th. Both high level hybrids. Still waiting. We're too small of a sample size to have any idea whether that's significant or not.
