I've had it a little over a month, 4k and no issues. About 1/4 of the miles were used for towing/hauling (average load 1,000 lbs) as well. 43 mpg avg commuting, 30 mpg towing.

3 months and 1600 miles XLT with Lux. No issues besides the occasional quirky abrupt grippy brakes at lower speeds. I wouldn't really call that an issue as much as it's just character. :)

I will be out of standard factory warranty soon. I had the shudder once a long time ago. Infotainment used to freeze every so often but it hasn't done that in a while.

The one time I calculated my fuel expenditure(before prices skyrocketed) and compared it to the same month last year, I'm spending about $400 less. So yeah, I'm very happy with my Maverick. It's perfect for my needs.

I thought I drove a lot (30K+/Yr), you've got me by by a large margin (about double)!

I've had mine a little over 4 months, and have put 2K on the odometer. No issues other than the fire hazard recall. I'm amazed at how other members can get 600+ out of a tank. I typically will get 520-ish, which is still great.

One other cool problem is getting stopped by others to ask/talk about the truck. I still enjoy it though. I've gotten to know a lot of my neighbors who've stopped to talk to me during their morning/evening walks since I'm always outside tinkering it with it or washing one of our vehicles. In the last week, I was supposed to meet old co-workers for dinner but I walked into the wrong food establishment and ended up talking to a couple for 15 minutes about it. I was late to the dinner. lol Also had a guy next to me at a stop light ask me what the heck was I driving. That conversation was much shorter.

I luv my Maverick! First Edition Hybrid (Lariat / Lux) 8,500+ miles over 7months with a 43mpg Daily driver plus many weekend outings to the mountains & camping.

But to be honest as well...
  1. I absolutely agree about the slow roll braking. It is a bit annoying / temperamental and it isn't all the time. I have been switching down to "L" when stopping in city & freeway traffic to save braking / improve regen, and I want to say I don't notice the braking issue as much... BTW, I have been driving a manual transmission for years so my hands need something to do when driving :).
  2. I've also had to replace the front windshield "Stress Crack", covered under normal warranty (1 year / 12K miles) under "Dealers" call. BTW, replacement cost for just the acoustic windshield $1500. I have a Great relationship with my dealer & especially the Service Manager. I would recommend building / having a relationship with the Service Manager at your dealer it will pay dividends!!!
  3. The recall I guess could be considered a problem, but I had the attitude that I'm buying the 1st production year of a NEW truck. I've only had one actual recall for the potential engine fire, and it was taken care of when they replaced the windshield. I know there is a new recall regarding "Air bags" but the dealers don't have any notice / instructions from Ford yet.
  4. Not having a wireless Android Auto I didn't think was going to be a problem for me, but over time it was annoying. Easily solved $89 Motorola MA1 works great.
Other than that, I haven't had any problems.

No issues. Well, besides the weird slow braking in drive-thrus, I'm used to it now. 8000 miles and couldnt be hapier.

No issues in 4 months and almost 5k miles. 50.1 mpg lifetime avg so far. My commute from the suburbs to downtown this morning was my best mpg yet.

Well I have 27k on my Hybrid Mav and the only issue I have is a leaky inner CV axle boot on the passsenger side that is now starting to fail. Waiting on a new CV shaft from Ford, but other than that the truck has been a blessing and super reliable.

Puckett, good feedback. I am glad to get true feedback, brakes are a big one here. I bet they tweek the software and get them alot better feeling and that transition from regen to friction.

JC, cv boots? Yeah when i was changing oil, i was inspecting the heck out of those. Thx good info.

I thought it would be great to hear from owners with the hybrid engine that have had no problems.
I've had it since May.
6,000 miles.

ONE problem: The brake issue that has been well documented.

Other than that, I've been very happy.

No electrical/radio/paint issues that others have had. I count my blessings.
