There are always hiccups and delays in new builds, specifically in 1st year runs. I wouldn't put any merit in that video nor anything my dealership says either.

The numbers are transposed, 68% of the orders are hybrid, the number quoted are reversed as if 32% are Hybrid and 68% are ecoboost.
You're absolutely right. I copied the numbers on the wrong line. Thanks...

So the revised results would be:

OWNERS REPORTING A BUILD DATE:
Hybrid: 31 out of 878 (3.5%)
EcoBoost: 61 out of 419 (14.6%)

OWNERS REPORTING HAVING A VIN:
Hybrid: 49 out of 878 (5.6%)
EcoBoost: 18 out of 419 (4.3%)

Sorry, Hybrid folks (of which I am one). It looks worse than I thought.

NOTE: I didn't have time to redo all the filters. So take this with a grain of salt. Where there is one mistake, there could be another.

I pulled down the order spreadsheet a couple of days ago.
The numbers are approximate, but here's what I see:

OWNERS REPORTING A BUILD DATE:
Hybrid: 31 out of 419 (7.4%)
EcoBoost: 61 out of 878 (6.9%)

OWNERS REPORTING HAVING A VIN:
Hybrid: 49 out of 419 (11.7%)
EcoBoost: 18 out of 878 (2.1%)

The BUILD DATE and VIN percentages don't track. Don't know why.
It is based on self reporting is why, my numbers are not on there at all for example

It did not come "directly from Ford", it came "directly from a salesman" - which means "nothing'.

Hybrid production is on a slow walk, but more because of supply constraints from their transmission factory in Michigan and an overabundance of orders than anything else. We will all eventually get our hybrids. Patience.

If I remember correctly, Ford has, so far, only scheduled two or three weeks of 'builds.' Some of those have been hybrids, a lot have been ECB. It seems early in the production process for any of us to develop full on paranoia.

Can't we all just wait two more weeks before we start waving our hands and going full on desperate teenager mode?

Eat some brownies, folks. Chill out.

I think this my be why nothing is getting scheduled right now.
I seem to recall waaay back like a over a month ago Ford laid out the build schedule weeks, mavericks were not slated for scheduling these past two weeks, so I don't think anything "new" changed that. If I recall, it has to do with modifying the line to implement enhancements and efficiencies after the first few weeks of builds so they can hone their process.

I talked to the internet sales manger yesterday and she told me that the Maverick is fully on track and they regularly pull orders to build. Out of 50 or 60 she has on order, 18 have been already pulled. She said they have all what they need to build the Maverick and there is not need to modify anything to accelerate the process. I don't think ford can afford to have another Bronco style disaster and they will pull what ever they need to make this launch a big success. I have also a Bronco on order but gave up the hopes to see the Bronco before the end of next year.

Hopefully after the clean up from this week that it will be mainly Hybrids for the next weekly build date. Most likely it remain at the 35% Hybrid and 65% Ecoboost.

This is contrary to reports from other dealers. There are constraints on 5-6 components. Others have reported 10% or less of their orders are scheduled...

So, really, nobody knows yet. Locally, all orders here are hybrids, and 25% have been scheduled. It's all completely meaningless, when there's only been 2 (or 3?) weeks of scheduling. Chill out everbody.

I don't know this guy, but has anyone else heard this?

There is nothing to validate the information presented here. He makes no claim of what dealership, what date, what he ordered for a hybrid build, when the update was released. This is just noise with no citation of proof. He has 5 subscribers, no comments and only one other related video here:

Fact check his speculation. The battery used now would not cost what he is spouting. he starts at $4,000 and then arbitrarily jumps 50% to $6,000 on replacement. These vehicles do not use the large battery blocks of the original Prius. He is not informed about the content. He simply wanted to make an opinion video about his thoughts, not the facts.

The picture attached is a screen shot of a 2020 Escape standard hybrid (not plug-in/hybrid) battery from a ford dealership. I would doubt in 8-10 years it will still cost the same, though that is my speculation with a little support from the article linked below. Let's also just forget the improvements in batteries and how no one talks about replacing them anymore with regularity.

This guy has not done anything but get a knee-jerk response. Please don't put too much stock in it.

What we know based on limited data from our community of online people is that both hybrids and Ecoboosts have been scheduled for production. We know that within this data gathered, hybrid orders were well above the Ecoboost order counts, but Ecoboosts are being scheduled in higher numbers for production than the hybrids are currently. That should indicate that currently there are some constraints on the hybrid production scheduling. Now, they seem to have paused scheduling for a bit, but they have only scheduled out to the week of October 12th so far. Remember it is only August. There is a lot of time for back-scheduling(which we have evidence of happening), clean up, etc. Obviously this info is all based on our small, crowd-sourced set of data people have submitted, but it should give us an idea of what is going on currently. Last week was the FIRST week of full production. Things are going to be very fluid for the next 2-3 weeks for sure.
