Husky Liners Hood Bug Shield Installation with the Black Appearance Package

That is not the same thing as it's not deflecting anything for the windshield protection - nor protecting top of fenders up front.

Paint damage if you remove it poorly.

Any idea how the best and safest way to remove these stuck on ones from factory? I have one and don’t like it.

Mine came with what I assume is a factory one. Is the consensus that this will damage the paint as it is touching it? (yes, the truck needs a good wash).

That's the Ford OEM, it's attached with 3M double side tape, it won't damage the paint

You using pre existing holes ?

A rock the size of a marble will not be deflected by the thing. I know this first hand.

But they do deflect much if the abrasive sand, bugs and smaller rock chips.

No drilled holes, it uses the holes under the hood where the gasket is held in to secure itself, all plastic hardware. I wouldn't expect it to stop a massive rock but even if it destroys itself protecting the hood, it cost less than $100 to replace.

Jeffy B's Emporium or any auto parts store should have the fasteners.
Better to have one to compare it to for size.

I just bought the same unit as the hood leading edge seems to attract bugs..

In my case I placed the order 4 days ago and if Fedex makes it down the road before the deluge hits this afternoon, I will get it today...
