It has been 3 weeks and some 200 miles on my Hybrid XL. The salesperson has reminded me twice to leave a positive feedback to Ford and also do a google review.
My salesperson was nice and did what the dealer wanted him to do. He kept in touch with me all the time till the delivery of the truck.
But, my experience at the dealership was not so great. I got tired of the "nagging" upsell like some luxury silicone / ceramic pkg for $1500.
I said no and then there was $500 discount. Thereafter, powertrain extended warranty. I told him when I want it, I will get it thru fordpass.
I declined it all. But, finally could not get away from $799 doc, title, plate etc. fees. I think it was too much.
I went there with BOA approved loan offer. I let the dealer run a credit check hoping he might have a better APR.
It was too bad and then I gave him my loan offer letter. He came back with the same offer from the same bank.
Later, I realized there was another credit pull.
Also declined the trade in offer for my Elantra Gt 2014 for 5K. I fix my car myself and it has factory warranty till 150,000 miles or 15 years.

So, I am dwelling on how I should review the dealer. I like the salesman but not the dealer.
What do you think of my dealer experience?!

When you placed your order back in Sept 2022, did you ask about the Doc fee's and such? It seems like you may have not done your homework up-front, although you shopped dealers until you found one with a lower deposit requirement.

I had a phenomenal experience at Germain Ford in Columbus, OH. Who honored my private offers, x-plan, and matched the amount Carmax was willing to give me for my trade in which resulted in them cutting me a check for the difference.

Simply top notch.

I always hated feeling like I needed to hang out with them. I’d rather just get my sack and leave.

I did get the $2500 pvt offer. Other than doc fees inclusive of title, plate etc. there was no other charge. I think that $799 was also too much. As for asking about doc fee in sept 2022, it can always change in jan 2024.
Wondering how much everybody else pay for doc fees along with title, regn.

FYI, My experiences with Granger Ford were great.

Everything was agreed up front and in writing. The doc fee was $180 and the transfer title fee was $35. That was all that was added to the agreed truck price, They did not try to upsell me on anything.

The "finance" part of the buying experience was a breeze. I have had finance managers pay games with me in the past and I have been known to walk out on them. Eric the finance fellow at Granger is rather helpful. He made sure we knew everything about the price up front and even arranged for my transportation from the hotel we stayed at. It is a rare nice dealer experience.

My experience with Gervais Ford in Ayer, MA was great. We bought a refused order off the lot with no ADM, no required add-ons, and a simple no-pressure conversation in the finance office.

Doc fees and RMV/DMV costs are standard but the doc fee varies by what states allow. Our doc fee was $399.00, which is what MA caps it at, I believe.

I see nothing wrong with complimenting the sales rep and dinging the dealer for the finance office.

Ordered from Five Star Ford Dallas, sales manager Sam Sallam. The process couldn’t have been easier. Sam was easy to work with, great communication, and I paid MSRP.

So this is a reminder email from Ford as shown in the image.
If I click on any number, does it take to another page where you can put a detailed review.
I really don't want to ding the salesperson. He is new there.

My dealer/salesman told me that if they get anything other than 5 across the board they get a big hit on commission bonuses. I don't know if this is true. But I did as he asked because they actually deserved it
