My dealer/salesman told me that if they get anything other than 5 across the board they get a big hit on commission bonuses. I don't know if this is true. But I did as he asked because they actually deserved it
It’s true my son sells and that’s how it’s done

I had a great experience with Planet Ford in Spring, Texas (Houston). I live in Waco, about 175 miles away but I needed a truck ASAP and the local dealer would have to order one. So online shopping showed they had a 2023 Lariat with 5k miles on it so I had a friend drive me down there to get it. Bought it and financed it with my credit union. Drove it home and found it did not have some features I wanted and someone had tinted the front windows too dark. I called the dealer the next morning and told them I was not happy. They told me to return the truck and get my money back. Fortunately they had a hot pepper red lariat with lux package, AWD and the premium co pilot package I wanted. No markup over sticker or add ons. I charged the difference on my credit card and drove home. Never been happier with a deal.

I'd say mine was pretty good. They kinda hosed me on my trade but I still got a decent amount. Otherwise it went fine.

Vehicle had all the options I wanted/ordered. I'd never even gotten to test drive one since I ordered and it was everything I'd hoped for.

Everything in the mav feels solidly build without flexing like a powerwheels car any time you touch it. I need to read the manual to figure out some stuff I know it can do.

I have bought the last 3 trucks from Ford of Murfreesboro TN including my 2024 Maverick XLT hybrid. I live in Nashville but the dealers here mark everything up and will not budge much. I bought mine for $700 below MSRP and it was the easiest negotiations ever. They have an excellent service department an example is they called me about the taillight issue recall and are sending a mobile tech to my house this Friday to fix rage issue.

Wondering similar thing about what to do about survey.
Sales rep was great but the sales manager wasted so much of my time with garbage.
Still haven’t opened the survey yet.

Bought from out of town dealership so haven't been back . service for buying was ok . local dealership couldn't even get basic oil change right ( lost bolt to fx4 skid plate ) . doesn't build confidence in getting recalls done by them .

I picked up mine in the middle of April. It was built in March and has March Pennsy inspection stickers on it. Dealers around here normally order their cars with similar options pkgs and this one looked to be different, Lariat with 4K tow and azure grey as the only options. It may have been a cancelled order but it only had 8 miles on the odo when I got it and I'm happy with the deal and service I got from the Ford dealer in Boyertown PA.

My Ford dealer horror stories just continue on and on. I first looked at the Maverick in December 2022, but the dealer on the highway sold the only one that they had and didn't pull the listing. Scratch the first dealer.
My closest dealer runs 8 dealerships, but refused to order a Maverick in February 2023 for unknown reasons. Scratch the second dealer.
I next went to the next nearest dealer who is a bit smaller and they gladly ordered the XLT hybrid with just Lux and cp360 options that I was looking for. Then dead air for months. On July 16th, I was the first person in line to move to the 2024 year, and unhappily signed the order despite the huge $4800 price increase for a vehicle that lost essential options like a back window, the colour that I wanted and the wiper heaters. I checked in every month for updates, and nothing was happening until October when I had a drink or two and sent a mail off to the Ford President outlining the lack of movement and feedback. The next day I got a personal call from the President asking for more details. Two days later I got a call from the President's staff to state that the dealer had no allocations, the dealer had failed to tell me, and that an allocation had now been made for me. That night I also got a call from the dealer sales manager saying sorry. However I checked in every month and still no movement. I also saw their order sheet, showing that every vehicle on order had the same priority no matter how long the Customer had been waiting. I also got seven more calls from the assistant to the President asking for status. I got fed up and cancelled the order one year to the day from ordering, and they handed me back my down payment. Scratch the third dealer.
I went looking online, and immediately found a Lariat with only 7k on the odo that had been traded in at a Hyundai dealer an hour away, and at the same price as the XLT that I was looking for. It had been babied and didn't even have its first oil change yet. I looked it over for and hour, test drove it an bought it cash on the spot. Ford dealers could learn a thing or two about Customer service from Hyundai dealers.
The very next day I had another call from the office of the President asking why I had cancelled my order. I explained and they were happy to keep me as a Ford Customer. I think Ford corporate has some integrity, unlike an awful lot of their dealers.
Having owned 2 Rangers, the Maverick has been a really good vehicle for 3 months now. I'm still impressed.
I just had the 24S27 taillight outage recall, first oil change and tire rotation at 10k done today at the first dealership, and they not only messed it up, they falsified at least part of the checkup sheet. My hybrid requires synthetic-only 0w20, and they incorrectly filled it with dyno oil. There are multiple very good reasons why the hybrid engine specifies synthetic oil only. The mechanic said that they only use one oil in all Mavericks, so who knows how many other owner's engines are going to have reduced life as a result of this incompetence. I waited while I had them do the oil change again with the correct oil this time. I also knew that the tires were way overpressure at 39psi with the warming daily temperatures, and the quicklane checkup sheet said they were at 34 all around. That problem should have been checked twice - during the tire rotation and on the vehicle status sheet. Just for grins I checked them after 4 hours and they were still at 39psi. I dropped them to 35 myself. The bill was also a surprising ripoff of $190 for tire rotation and oil change, and the Econolube down the street only charges $85 for that service and uses a really good oil (Valvoline synthetic). Who knows how much they overcharged Ford for the software recall work taking about a total of 10 minutes with a USB key. While I was there I checked on a winter tire package. The Lariat 18" size was not possible for some weird reason. $1800 (four 17in X-ice tires, $165 each for cheap black steel rims with no centre caps or hubcaps, and $120 each for TPMS sensors) is a lot too high. I'll be at Costco or one of the dozen tire shops in the area for about half that price this fall. That's three more dealership quality failures in one day.
So, with multiple bad dealer experiences under my belt, I think I'll only go to the dealer for recalls and warranty work. I just plain can't get worse dealer sales and service if I tried. While I love my Maverick, the multiple dealers in my area are all incompetent morons. The local independent guys are a lot cheaper and use better products, and are more honest than the dealerships.
