Great, thank you. And if I don't want Sirius XM, I believe I can just use my existing ACM in my XL, correct?

From what I've read you will need a bronco or escape ACM to get sync 3 or 4Great, thank you. And if I don't want Sirius XM, I believe I can just use my existing ACM in my XL, correct?
Hi, I am doing this job in my country , ifSometimes I wish the OP wouldn’t have abandoned this thread… I’ve owned my Xlt for a year now and all I want is SYNC 3 and every company I contact wants nothing to do with it…

That’s exactly what I want! Anything is better than the garbage ford used in these! For a $35k truck you’d think they’d use their own infotainment. Cheaper bronco sports have sync!!It would be nice if somebody sold these kits whether you wanted a sink for non-nav sink for with nav etc. I would be interested in the sink for without nav and the wiring harnesses needed and possibly OEM sirius.
Agreed I've never had any problems with past sync radios in my 2012 and 2016 f-150s or my 2019 Ford explorer. That’s exactly what I want! Anything is better than the garbage ford used in these! For a $35k truck you’d think they’d use their own infotainment. Cheaper bronco sports have sync!!
I think it is related to a firmware compability, between sync4 and hvac module, I have the same issue, temperature is not showed in climate screen. Controls works ok (buttons and voice).I’ve recently gone through and did the whole install myself. I bought my kit through fordsync4.com.
I had to modify the harness they sent to the harness in this thread. That wasn’t a problem.
Everything seems to be working with the exception of the AC controls. The ac works but the display doesn’t show properly on the screen. Any ideas what it might be?
Why would you have to disconnect the communication lines?Mordfaverick and I have successfully swapped SYNC 3 in the lariat with SYNC 4. FordPass is now working because we had not removed pins 41 and 42 on the APIM connector. This was documented in the OP but later in this thread OP claims that you only need to remove pins 53 an 54 on the APIM to swap SYNC 3 with SYNC 4. This post is to clarify that lariats with SYNC 3 need to remove pins 41, 42, 53, and 54 to work. FordPass works but you lose the ability to re-pair the vehicle to a FordPass account. So you must activate FordPass on a SYNC 3 and then swap. We have all functionality from the OP.
Do you have the LED display HVAC module?I’ve recently gone through and did the whole install myself. I bought my kit through fordsync4.com.

What ACM and Screen did you buy?I'm going to try to do this with a 12" screen.
I already bought the screen.
I already bought the ACM.
What I don't understand is what happens if I use a FORD F150 APIM. Like this one:

Or should I buy an Escape or Bronco?
