Any idea how often these updates come out? I've had my 26 xlt for 5 weeks and haven't seen one. Our 5+ year old tesla seems to get one at least monthly. They're always tweaking something, radio, user interface, safety, functions and annoyances similar to this. Since the cars are connected they're always learning how to improve them. Let's hope Ford does the same and rolls them out to their customers.
I don't know if they come on any kind of regular schedule but I've had my 25 since April and I think I've noticed 3...on the others nothing really stood out to me as having changed though I'm confident there were changes and hopefully improvements. The updates could be coming quarterly I suppose....maybe others with more in depth knowledge will comment. This recent update and improvement does make me think Ford may be listening to some complaints commented on here and it's nice to think our comments and suggestions are being heard and addressed .

I was notified of the update when I started it up this morning, the seat belt reminder still stays on forever though.

I also noticed something else for the first time that I assume is from the update. Yesterday, I turned the truck off in slippery mode. When I started it today, it asked if I wanted to remain in slippery mode. I'm not sure if that is something I just never noticed or if it is part of the update.
That is interesting. I'm betting it's an update, as I've never seen that before.

Sorry to hear that...I was hopeful everyone with a 25 and later would see the improvement. Guess there's always Forscan

Others have replied that it has always been there.
I'd be one of those. I have never had the issue of a continued alert tone after buckling. Not every Maverick is built exactly the same with exactly the same vendors for the different components, so this issue could just be for a few particular trucks.

I have not either. Once I click on "OK" that's it. But even if I don't there is no continued alert tone and never has been.

I have noticed the same thing after the update. I usually drive in Eco mode. Seems the computer asks if you want to continue with the mode used the last time you drove the truck. If you say no, or nothing, it reverts to normal

Blessed with a 2022 Lariat here. Never been an issue. The "melody" stops immediately after clicking in. I have to wonder what models/years were afflicted with a non-stop warning.
My 2024 Lariat Eco makes me wait a whole minute or hit ok. Sucks IMO

I agree. That would be ultra annoying. Wonder why Ford made this modification. I'm thinking government intervention.

I had gotten rid of those stupid warning/notifications with Forscan and after seeing the original post decided to revert back to as built to see what changed. The only thing that looks like it changed is it is not notifying me about the other three seats that have no one in them but it still makes me wait for at least a minute waiting for me to hit OK. How stupid is that, I clearly already know that I clicked my seat belt it should just auto OK and exit. Old software engineer here, no way I ever did something like that to my users! Time to get Forscan back out...

Same here with 2026 xlt. I've been watching it. Once belted in it takes about a minute for the belt visual notification to shut off.

Cross talk on years where it matters or doesn't.

pre-25/26 you won't see an update.

25/26 was always there - buried under seatbelt warning if you don't start buckled.

Are you clicked in?

Only asking because indeed - posters have complained about such and not been buckled.
