I searched and didn’t find a related topic so I hope this isn’t a repeat. Has anyone installed a dash mounted push button start in place of keyed ignition? I have a 2022 Mav XLT EcoBoost. I hate the keyed ignition. My last car had it and after 11 years you kinda get spoiled. I can use the remote start as I approach the truck but that seems a bit silly.

After I took delivery of my 2023 XLT, and realized how much I missed the push to start system, I swallowed my pride and order a 2024 Lariat. Now, at least the XLT's have it.

I never found an aftermarket system, and still don't think they exist.

Yes there is a push button option that is readily available.
For you, it will cost about $13k to install and comes with a new truck For free.

I don’t need lots of bells and whistles but that push button is a must have for me.

Yeah that's why I went with push button on mine. Got sick of using a key. Auto starter maybe? Still need the key eventually but maybe they can do something to bypass it... Good luck!

I don't think I've ever seen anyone do it. But I've been thinking about this myself. I've gotten so used to fobs over the years I get annoying sometimes always having to key start.

(Don't bother clicking through those - people have been asking since before any trucks were ever delivered, and the consensus seems to have been "get a Lariat.")

Interesting that a lot of feedback I got involved access control as well. I’m just looking for the simple push bottom in lieu of the ignition cylinder. My biggest concern is how that change would affect the remote start or the gear shift dial.

Yeah, I’m getting that impression! Seems a shame, it’s such a nice feature once you get hooked on it. After half a year I’m still trying to reach into my pants pocket after fastening my seat belt (and that ain’t easy!).
