I wanted to ask someone who is ordering through Chapman, how is that working as far as taxes? are you paying PA taxes at the point of sale and states taxes also? I live in Arkansas and just spoke to our revenue office and was told I would have to pay sales tax to AR on an out of state purchase.I'm @ $26,300 for an XLT Lux hybrid w/ 360, hard rollup cover and a couple of smaller items thanks to Tom and his team @ Chapman. I'm guessing $29k out the door...

I got that email too. It doesn’t say that it applies to the Maverick, and the new one says the Maverick is actually excluded. We shall see. Dealer told me they will give me any offers from order date through delivery date.I'm in the Memphis area. Should be MSRP minus the dealer's $1000 "bonus cash" promo that came in email the day after I inquired about the Maverick. Salesman said it would be taken off the price when delivered...but we'll see if that holds. Got the promo email flyer filed away for when it comes time to set the firm price. I think the document fee is close to $500, so I may have to discuss that cost when it comes, but with $200-300 being on the low end from what I can find, I most likely won't walk away over it.
You pay your state taxes. If you are financing, Chapman will take care of it. When I bought my Jeep there, they even sent the paperwork to my state DMV who then just mailed my registration and new tag to me. That was by far the smoothest process I've ever had for a vehicle purchase.I wanted to ask someone who is ordering through Chapman, how is that working as far as taxes? are you paying PA taxes at the point of sale and states taxes also? My order for a 1st Edition Spark Red ($495 add on), 4K tow package and 2.0 EcoB Engine went from $37k down to $34k... I have about $800.00 to add to that with fees for drop ship + Local PA doc fee ... and the County of Hillsborough (Tampa FL) tax of 7.5% to add to that... but in my estimation this is a great deal that NO OTHER DEALER (tried 3 of them) would match!!!Started late, but contacted Tom and Steve on Saturday to place my order. Local dealer was offering MSRP, and replied:
“There is hardly any markup on them. By the time you deal with the aggravation you will be very close in price. How much off MSRP is 4% under invoice? Let me know”
The savings was $2000 for a 4hr roundtrip to Chapman Auto Group in PA.
Not a difficult decision to make.
