I'm interested in how much everyone will pay for their Maverick.

Here are two offers I have received so far.

My build:

  • XLT hybrid
  • Velocity Blue
  • Moon roof
  • Spray in bed liner

Incentives:

  • x-plan friends and neighbor
  • college discount

(I have heard different amounts for the college discount - $500/$750 but ford website says $1000 for buyers).

What do you think? Any tips for a better deal?

No matter how you slice it, if you're paying MSRP or less, it's a deal. I believe Ford incentive also is financing 1.99% @ 60 mo.

Only way to get a better deal would be going with one of 4% below invoice dealers and combining your college discount with it. But those guys are going to be out of state, which adds some complexities with picking up or drop shipping your truck.

Seems like you are getting msrp, which is pretty good for a local dealer, none of mine would give me that.

My total for a base XLT with no options, prior to tags/title/registration/taxes is $22,790. Probably around $24,500 after taxes/title/taxes/registration fees.

Wait, I thought X plan capped doc fees at $100, but it says $199 on that invoice.
Folks smarter than me; huh?

I think you've got the good (normal) deals there with with either of those dealers, there are only a couple dealers taking anything off MSRP in the country. In my opinion it's not worth it to go that way at this point since that likely puts you in a very long waitline at those high volume dealers. We're only talking a few hundred dollars difference in the end. I think you should stick with either of those dealers and feel good about it. Except the other comment about the maximum doc fee for xplan you might want to investigate.

You might consider removing the spray in liner and getting it done after delivery if you want the best chance of getting built sooner.

I have MSRP they didn't say anything about their doc fee I know it's normally $499, I assume if I bring a discount they will put the doc fee on.

I went with the 4% off deal from Chapman. I asked my dealer here in Texas, Holiday Ford (to match) that I have bought a 150 and a 350 from recently and the best they could do was msrp. Chapman is in PA but I’m going to keep the Maverick in KY at the site of a part time job. Folks at Chapman were very professional and good communicators, I’m entirely satisfied so far. By the way, was told that Chapman has taken ~1,000 orders for these little trucks as of a couple days ago. Doc fee is $394.

Wow, thanks everyone for sharing. It does look like the doc fee for xplan is capped at $100. Other than that, you guys have great builds. Can't go wrong with any.

The thing you miss is that allocations are based on builds available with constraints and dispersed based on numbers of vehicle on order. So if @Dealerinsider has 1/80 of all orders in the US guess who should get 1/80 of the allocs? It’s a bit more complicated than that, but at its base thats the way it is

Started late, but contacted Tom and Steve on Saturday to place my order. Local dealer was offering MSRP, and replied:

“There is hardly any markup on them. By the time you deal with the aggravation you will be very close in price. How much off MSRP is 4% under invoice? Let me know”

The savings was $2000 for a 4hr roundtrip to Chapman Auto Group in PA.

Not a difficult decision to make.

I'm @ $26,300 for an XLT Lux hybrid w/ 360, hard rollup cover and a couple of smaller items thanks to Tom and his team @ Chapman. I'm guessing $29k out the door...
