HOW LONG

Because I'm Being Very Normal About This, I tracked some similar order numbers/update dates with the dealer using their "coming soon" sheet and I do think the 7/22-28 date range is probably about right. Most Mavericks coming in with similar check-in/update dates are sitting at 7/24 or 8/1 for ETA. I also don't know if the dealer does anything post-receipt before they call me.

If the dealer is close, I would be proactive. I was at my dealer about 45 minutes before it arrived just checking knowing it was due and left (because it was not there). They never called me. The next day I discovered it when checking again and they still had not called me, though by this time it was washed and ready for pickup, but I was not prepared. Picked it up the next day. By then the truck showed 48 miles. This was the Fall of '23 and they were rare on lots, so I guess mine received a few curiosity miles.

Ford's site now says 7/21-7/27, which aligns with similar orders. Looks like the rail system is pretty darn fast, but then getting it out of there and on to the dealer, even one a state over, is the real time suck. No worries here, will update once it's actually delivered.

Mine has been steady with the 7/27-8/2 delivery since July 5th. I have no idea if it's in the US yet, or somewhere not far from Iowa lol. I'm sure the dealer could track it down as they have additional info, but not gonna hassle them over that. If I were to guess I'll be picking it up either Aug 9th, or Aug 16th as I'll have to do it on a Saturday.

So mine just updated to "shipped" on July 4. I'll update again when my dealership lets me know it is there and ready. Sadly, it will arrive after the deadline for the employee discount pricing.

That is good to know, however, I suspect it is at the dealership's discretion. They are not in the habit of giving away money. That said, Ford now has a new deal going...zero, zero, zero. That is useful as well.

Unfortunately that triple-zero does not apply to the Maverick, nor does it apply to many current model years, making it feel more like a "take this excess stock off our lots" sale than a true sale like Employee Pricing was. Really just Escape, Explorer, and some 2024s.

Now Honda - I hesitate to say this because it's a completely different ride and size - they're doing 0.9% on the Ridgeline, and that ain't bad, either. I want my Maverick first and foremost, but it's good to know if things go south for some reason, I have options.

After 9 days with 7/27-8/2 as estimated delivery it's bumped up to 7/25-7/31 now.

I know I said I'd update when it was ready, but I thought I'd mention that I contacted the salesman to ask that they please not add the dealer nameplate/sticker to the vehicle itself; mine uses a 3D logo that was especially egregious (and silver/gray). So now is a good time to bring that up if you haven't.

Received word from the dealer that the eagle has landed lol. Still needs to be checked in officially there, but it's on site. Will probably pick it up next weekend.

Nice! Ford shows Delivered as of tonight - like after 5PM when I checked - and I am hoping for the dealer call tomorrow, which has been the date I was hoping for all along.
