I've noticed that my power point now only works when the truck is on or in accessory mode. Previously it would last around 10 minutes or so after the truck was turned off before turning off too. Just curious if anyone is experiencing anything similar?

I don't have anything hooked up to mine, but I'll bet that it's depends on the state of charge of the 12V battery. Edit: in the accessory mode the 12v battery is getting power from the HVB in a hybrid.

I run a portable fridge freezer back there off it.

Mine seems to turn off the second I kill turn the truck of. All I have a button with an LED strip connected to it. Not quite sure why its turning off so soon though.

Very strange. I think either you have battery issue and you truck knows it or it's simply a difference between hybrid and EB. Check your owners manual. I believe it says in there, I'm not sure if they issue separate manuals or not.

Had the same thing occur to me after installing diy power points and voltmeter. It stayed on before, now goes off after the key is turned to off position.

Does it have to do with opening and closing the doors or not? (A signal you are walking away.)

Or perhaps it needs to detect something with current draw, similar to the trailer detection system?

Maybe a fridge is detectable and a really low consumption device isn't.

Just guesses. I've had no reason to play with mine so far.

Mine used to stay on for up to 90 minutes after turning the truck off and exiting the vehicle. Verified this through the videos on my dashcam. I used Forscan to change the default time to 1800 seconds (30 minutes). Mine now shuts off immediately when I open the door. Not sure why. Guessing it will stay on for 30 minutes if I don't exit the vehicle. Another strange thing is that the default time was 4500 seconds (75 minutes) and not 5400 seconds (90 minutes).

This seems about the time for me too. I installed a USB in the truck bed cubby. I ran out to the truck every so often to check if it was still on. I know by the 2 hour mark...the usb port was off. At the hour or so mark...the usb was still on. so somehwere between 60 and 120 minutes seems about right.

My 2022 XL Hybrid bed wires were always hot. My 2023 XLT Hybrid bed wires are only hot when the the key is on.

(My experience) My fuse #84 was blown out, so the bed's pigtail wasn't getting power.

I swapped it out with #44 and the bed's pigtail wasn't working. I was also wondering about the duration (setting-based) of it staying on because as soon as I turned off the engine, it would shut off that power.

I wasn't sure if that was just because I'd been working on the car and the lights kept turning on/off, so the battery level was low or if that was a new setting for 2024s (I'm a 2024 Hybrid XLT). I'm hypothesizing that it was neither.

I got replacement fuses, so I went ahead replaced #44. And now, after the engine is cut, I still have power to the bed pigtails.

I have lariat hybrid 2024. Manual shows #84 is 20 amp 12v bed power points. #44 shows to be 40 amp trailer tow module. No clue what changing those fuzes might alter. The power timeouts are variable count down clocks and can vary on different trucks whatever the timer could be set whether as built, or by an program update. The SOC of the 12v will over ride the count down clock when, if I remember correctly if it drops to 12.1 volts. There is a delay off timer which (possibly?) could turn off the bed power before you try to turn on the item in the bed. If it's on before you turn off the truck then it should stay on until the max time clock counts to zero or the 12v soc drops to the battery save voltage. If you leave key in accessory mode then the dcdc converter will keep the 12v charged until the HVB SOC drops to (32%?) (all limits and times can vary depending on settings in computer's data tables)

@MakinDoForNow

That's good to know (specifically the SOC)!, thanks -- been trying to read up on information.

Yeah, my #44 is a 20A, "Trailer Tow Module" (and I'm not towing anything or using that... as far as I knew), so that's why I swapped them.

It might've been happenstance that after I replaced #44 that the bed power point started staying on, but after I finished with all the fuse stuff (with no #44 in the fuse box and just a now good #84), I did drive around 10 minutes to try and "recharge" the battery (but still immediately no power).
