Does 12v power outlet stay on after shutting off truck?

Does the 12v power outlet stay on? On my F150 it stays on. I like to run a radar detector and would prefer to have it shut off when I turn off the truck.

I’ve read that they shut off after 15 minutes. If you have ForScan, you can adjust the time to be longer or shorter.

Cool I do have forescan but never tried to change anything. Just connected it to my F150. Kind of afraid to do anything. But this may be a good place to start. Would love to enable all the drive modes.

My buddies 2016 F150 stays on for about an hour. On my 2020 Ecosport i timed it and it was 1 hour 12 minutes. Yes I wanted to know exactly how long for reasons to do with a dash cam.

Good to know. I never timed mine on the F150. It's a 2011. An option in the settings to change that would be nice!
