Once I made turning it off part of my start up procedure and commuted it to memory it is no longer an Issue.
Same here. Garage door opener, stop/start, seat belt message. Helps that my Tremor has the S/S button on the dash, rather than the console.

Are these one time plug-ins that wipe the computer from that feature or do you have to keep these plugged in and is it going to fry my computer with some Chinese malware lol
is that a new take out dish?

Can someone please explain to me why or how anyone could have a problem with auto start/stop. How does it harm your life? What does it do to make your commute or trip slower? What possible reason does anyone have to dislike this feature. I have driven MANY cars with this feature and have never found anything that has a negative effect on me or my passengers or the vehicle. This is a serious question.

What is it about this feature that causes people to want to turn it off?

Wear and tear on the starter?

Thanks. I guess some people think that is still an issue.

UPS did extensive research on this and found that turning off and restarting the vehicle at every stop reduced average starter life by a very tiny percentage. The savings in gasoline consumption was much greater than the increase in starter replacement.

I have used 4D Tech AutoStop Eliminator for years with no problems at all. Vehicles: F150s, Rangers and two Maverick. Simple install. Made is US (I think New York state). The unit for 2025 Maverick is different from 2022-24 Mavericks

Could care less what UPS did nor their studies, it’s total aggravation and BS in my opinion. Even Ford and other mfg’s deleted it entirely during the chip shortages

Axeing that feature was my first Forscan project.

The ONLY time I've felt a need to shut off my running vehicle was sitting in our understaffed and painfully slow Arby's drive thru. I simply turned off the key. Worked great!

Mine was deactivated when i bought it a few weeks ago. My only curiosity is how it was deactivated now. Im quite happy to stay comfortable at one of the many long lights here when its 95° out with 90% or more humidity. You would be surprised how quickly it gets downright breathtakingly hot inside a car in the south when it turns off

My Bronco was my first vehicle with Auto Start Stop (great acronym there) and I lost my mind whoever it kicked in, specifically because it was a manual. It would shut down then turn back on whenever I pushed in the clutch. On an automatic it's not as jarring but glad you can disable it with some scan tools.

Its bad for starter and bad for engine. Its shutting off the ignition and engine and turning it back on. In my case (NYC driving) hundreds of times a week
