My 87 Monte Carlo SS had the longest hood I ever owned and I loved every second of that car. This truck gives a little bit of that back to me - and is totally driveable for me. lol

You get used to it. We had a 1990 Pontiac Transport, the one that looked like a 'dust buster' and you could not tell where the front end was due to the design of it. You just figure it out.

the only thing i dont like is the drop off at the front
I'll think im close to the wall/the vehicle in front and get out and see I'm not even close and still have 2-3 feet
Me too. I thought it was only me. I never get pulled up far enough!

Yeah me too until I learned to push the mirror stalk up as high it would go. Twist the mirror portion down then push up stalk and readjust. Just that little bit goes a long way.
Awesome! Just went out and pushed that sucker as far up as it'll go, maybe 1-2 inches of relief but damn if it doesn't make a world of difference!

So not to hi-jack, but given the dent posts, the question comes to mind...has anybody found something to install, spray, etc between the support structure and the outer hood skin to reinforce or help prevent nuisance dents like that? - If it wasn't for the fact I'd be afraid it would melt, catch fire, or cause frame to rot-out, I'd load the cavity HD Expanding Foam and/or glue something along the openings.

I cringe with the thought of somebody leaning on it, or a small tree limb falling on it. Had a very small one a few weeks ago, which luckily didn't cause any damage, having most likely hit the windshield first while parked in the driveway. (And thankfully didn't crack the windshield).

Is anyone else bothered by the size of the hood? To me, driving, it obstructs my view, and in my opinion is disproportionate to the size of the truck. Thoughts?
I don't like it either I have 2007 Ranger and u can see great I have 2022 carbonized grey Canada truck

I guess some people just can’t figure it out.

So many posts about this.
I have an option for some of you.

I think with some ingenuity, curb feelers could be mounted along the leading edge of the hood.

Waaaiiiitttt a minute. Maybe THAT’s why people put those bug deflector thingys on.

Tried to figure out what you were asking, half expecting to see a picture of a hood hanging over the fenders. Maybe mount one of those Mack bulldogs on the hood if it really is a problem. If you do that, go all the way and put a "diesel only" sticker above the gas flap but just make sure you don't lend the truck to anyone.

I put bugflector on and can lean forward a little to tell approximately the location of front of truck . helps in parking lots . plus it keeps front of truck in good condition .

Doesn't seem to be an issue. I would try raising the seat a little bit.

It sort of follows the general popular, dumb trend of big blocky flat front ends that plow through the air and kill pedestrians. This one is tiny compared to the full-size GM and Ram offerings which have gotten almost grotesque in looks. Can they be bigger next time? Personally, I'd like something more function and cut air and be able to see down the front over trend, but trend sells.
